Unfortunate.

Such a let down.
For starters, book was shorter than advertised (8hrs not 4hrs). Second, the story didn’t have much to it. Bast is a key character in the story and we learned nothing about him. Over all I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I honestly want my money back and to stop supporting Patrick.

Where’s the rest of it?

This was a good book that had a good story line. It kept you going with several different plot twists, and I really was anxious to see how it all came together at the end. It was hard to put down.
The only thing that really hurt this book was the end. I can appreciate an ending that doesn’t give you every single detail and leave you to fill in the rest, but this book had such a build up and was going and going and going and then, bam, it ended. It was such a drastic change in energy that made the entire story beforehand leave you questioning how we could be doing so well and leave it as it is. There maybe could’ve been a book two to help, but I’m not sure if there was enough for an entire book. The ending didn’t need entire details of of the events in the scene where it ended to go on, but at least an epilogue would’ve done a lot for this book and could’ve gotten it to a 4.5 or 5 star rating from me.
Again, this was a really book, the ending just let the flow and beauty of it all way down.

Great book with good plot twists

I was desperately trying to find a book that would interest me, and the description of this one seemed okay enough. As I began the book, it quickly has my attention, starting with simplicity to introduce the characters and moving smoothly into an ever-developing plot. This book was a great example of love and sacrifice. Definitely bitter sweet.
