I really enjoy this series. Entertaining, action packed, and pretty funny at times. If you're looking for a new hero (and sidekick who makes it even better) then you should definitely give this a shot!

Not a "Thriller"

I'm currently 11 hours into this book. I'll probably finish it, but I really had to TRY to get into this book. Way too much character development and plot building, with little to no action.
I think of a Thriller as something that will keep me on the edge of my seat for the majority of the book, Jack Carr masters this perfectly... this novel, I could've stopped at any time, while not finishing, and never think about it again. It's far from a "can't put it down" novel.
I'm sorry, this review is harsh, but I needed to be honest.

I'm hooked!! Definitely worth the purchase!

As I started to listen to this I was worried the narrator's deep voice might be too distracting, or monotone, or put me to sleep... I was wrong. The narrator was a perfect compliment to the characters in the story. The writing and narration had me hooked. The story is based in the 90's, but it's not distracting and could definitely be relevant today. I'm excited to continue the series!

I tried multiple times to give this audiobook a shot... couldn't even get a full hour into it. Unfortunately the characters aren't relatable, storyline isn't engaging and I got bored with the narration.

I loved the "EMP, but with a twist" storyline. The creativity and characters kept me entertained enough to listen all in one day. If you're on the fence about trying another post-apocalyptic genre, definitely give this one a shot.

Enjoyed the entire book in less than 2 days!

After being left on a cliff hanger following the first book in the series, I was grateful to finally get my hands on the sequel. Between the first and this audiobook, I found this series to be entertaining and enjoyable. Storyline and character development were well done, as was the performance of the narrator. I'm looking forward to the third installment.

If you're a fan of dystopian / post-apocalyptic books, you'll likely enjoy this. I was entertained enough to complete it in one day. I think the book could've been longer and used more character description, but overall the story was written and performed very well.

Chapters are confusing and out of order...

I enjoyed the story for the most part. The narrator did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. I would recommend that somebody from the publisher needs to put the chapters in the correct order. There are 2 chapters that repeat at very different points in the book. The story skips all over the place... making it difficult for the listener to follow along. Definitely an editing fail (or poor story construction if intentional).
