Least Interesting Installment of the Series
Revisado: 02-29-24
I've come to enjoy Melissa Olsen's interconnected vampire, werewolf, witch and magic series, but this story was just boring. The between the lackluster baby tales to the werewolf issue with no drama, it just felt lazy. I'm disappointed to say that I could have skipped this one.

Historia
Hollywood screenwriter Sawyer Walsh knows a good love story when he sees it. But when it comes to real life romance, he’s a mess. That’s how he finds himself standing at the altar…as his ex-girlfriend ties the knot with his very famous best friend. The pressure, the resentment, the media coverage—it’s all too much—and before he knows exactly what he’s doing, he’s making a run for it, leaving a shocked congregation and flashing cameras in his wake.

Trapped in Kanoodle
Revisado: 11-24-22
I only finished this book because I listened to it during a road trip and hadn't downloaded another book. I gave it 2 stars because it kept me awake.
The book is twice as long as it needs to be and the characters were not loveable. Despite the ridiculously long drawn out story we never figure out why Fallon is insecure, Jazz is clearly mentally unhinged and Sawyer definitely needed some therapy too. Thank goodness for Sully and the other secondary characters who add a bit of relief. I even fast forwarded through the cringy sex scene which was super rapey, but I guess it was supposed to romantic because the woman was the aggressor. Just overall bad book.

Historia
CHRONOS historians Madi, Tyson, and Katherine and their cohorts are on the enemy’s trail, fixing the mess that sociopath Saul Rand has made of history - and of the Temporal Dilemma rules. Another time shift is on the horizon, and this time, it’s one that reflects Saul’s twisted vision. When the shift hits, it plunges the United States into a modern dark age where superstition trumps science and 17th-century witch hunts are no longer a thing of the past. But Saul has added a new hurdle to this insane reality: he’s hunting the Sisters of Prudence.

I love the time jumping world created by Rysa Walker. From the first stories with Kate, Kiernan and Trey to Maddie, Jack and their crew the imagination and attention to detail in these stories make the entertaining and keep me coming back for more! I highly recommend both series and this book was a perfect ending

Historia
The world has changed. Now, when someone is murdered, they almost always come back to life—and there are professionals, called “dispatchers”, who kill in order to save lives, to give those near the end a second chance. Tony Valdez is a dispatcher, and he has never been busier. But for as much as the world has changed, some things have stayed the same. Greed, corruption, and avarice are still in full swing.

Years later, with her parents not speaking to her and her controversial relationship in tatters, all Preeti has left is her career at a prestigious Los Angeles law firm. But when Preeti receives word of a terrible accident in the city where she was born, she returns to India, where she’ll have to face her estranged parents...and the complicated past they left behind.

Great story about the immigrant experience
Revisado: 08-23-22
While I really disliked Preeti, I enjoyed the story. The author kept hope alive as her main character would experience a major event and you're thinking she finally gets it, but then she does something very teenagery. Sadly, Preeti's character never really seemed to evolve and truly grow up, but the story is a nice view into India culture.

As good as the first book!
Revisado: 07-17-22
I loved the story of the original book woman and her daughter's tale was just as good. The author did a good job of bringing us back to Trouble Creek, introducing us to new characters with just enough of the old characters and issues to let us feel the weariness the women of that time must have endured. I will say that just as the first time, I'd liked the author to have allowed the reader to experience some of the good times with Honey, maybe an epilogue or something. We never get to see how these women find their version of happiness.

Historia
Claire Huntley and her brother, Poe, were on a midnight hike in Montana when the woods went wild. A blinding, devouring light and a rumbling pulse that blasted them off their feet left both kids with little memory of what happened. Their father insisted it was a violent extraterrestrial abduction; his wild obsession would tear their family apart in the wake of the trauma. Fourteen years later, Claire, who’s battled anxiety attacks since that fateful hike, wants to heal her relationship with her brother, which has been damaged by his years of addiction.

Predictable...
Revisado: 05-01-22
If you've read any romance novel, you've already read this book.
Unfortunately, there was no part of this story that I haven't read a million times or watched in a bad lifetime movie. The only original parts are the horrible names for the main characters. I gave up reading and just listened to the rest of the story as background noise while running errands.

A little bit everywhere...
Revisado: 04-05-22
This story was a little bit everywhere to me and the ultimate resolutions to the various subplots didn't sit right with me. Overall, I thought it took too long to connect the stories and once the author did so, the actions and reactions of the characters didn't ring true. The book is good enough to keep you company while fulfilling another task, but not a grab your attention listen/ read.
