Historia
Gripped by a tyrant king and in the thrall of dark magic, the kingdom is in peril. Elspeth and Ravyn have gathered most of the twelve Providence Cards, but the last—and most important—one remains to be found: the Twin Alders. If they’re going to find the card before Solstice and set free the kingdom, they will need to journey through the dangerous mist-cloaked forest. The only one who can lead them through is the monster that shares Elspeth’s head: the Nightmare.

Historia
Loren Calla has only ever been ordinary. As a human struggling to survive in a city that caters to the needs of vampires, werewolves, witches, and other supernatural creatures, she always assumed her life would remain simple, predictable, and as safe as her world would allow. Until she barely escapes abduction at the hands of Darkslayers—supernatural bounty hunters that possess the Sight, a magical tracking ability that allows them to see a person's aura—and one of her friends is taken in her place. The abductors are demanding a ransom: Loren's life in exchange for her friend's safe return.

MMC great MFC super annoying
Revisado: 04-14-25
the story was ok. It didn’t seem to have much character development to me. I thought the MFC
Was really annoying. Maybe a spoiler so please
Beware but I am also over plots where the woman is kidnapped or something and needs to be rescued by a man. That happens more than once within this book. There is some redemption towards the end. Not a terrible story. Darian Castle is a fabulous book boyfriend if that’s all your into!

Slow to start but gets there
Revisado: 03-22-25
The plot and story were slow to start. It keeps
You interested for the most part. The narrator was ok. I loved her when she did zodiac academy. Here the voice she did for vesper was rather grating in n the beginning. It was just way too much but either you get used to it or she reins it in as it did improve. Interested for the next book and hoping it’s better too.

Historia
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

Dark and fabulous
Revisado: 03-15-25
Plot is pretty good. There is enough mystery and intrigue. The spice was good too. The narrators both did a good job too.

Not great
Revisado: 03-06-25
I wasn’t a fan of these narrators for these characters but they aren’t bad. The plot felt lacking. I finished it but also don’t find myself really caring what happens next despite it ending in a cliff hanger…

Interesting yet confusing
Revisado: 02-27-25
The author seems really creative and imaginative yet doesn’t do the best at describing and detailing all
The newer concepts. She brings a lot of ideas together creating a story that feels unique; however I was lost for much of the first half. Googling and reading summaries of the terms and concepts was more helpful. The narrators did a great job. I really enjoyed them. Can’t yet decide if I’ll continue with the series.

Historia
After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty. Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust. Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

Historia
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

Fast pace and great story
Revisado: 01-26-25
This narrator does violet so well but it’s terrible with male
Voices and at times it’s hard to keep track of who’s speaking since many characters sound the same;
However, I found it manageable just because she is great at general narrating. The story is good too. Sometimes it’s annoying how slowly things unfold and feels like you missed something but they just haven’t actually said it yet. Definitely a good read/listen

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Fun story and moves fast
Revisado: 01-15-25
The plot moves quickly and is interesting. The characters are good too. It includes many things that have been done before but seems to combine it in a different or intriguing manner. The narrator does really well with violet. Her male voice sucks and kind of ruins Xaden. I wish they had a male narrator read his quotes. The male narrator that comes in at the end was fabulous.

It’s good
Revisado: 01-08-25
The narrators are ok. The story is pretty good. I really
Like character development and I this didn’t really have that. It’s really plot driven the plot has some unique features and moves quickly. The love story has no development. It just suddenly happens.
