Having immediately pre-ordered the audiobook for book 2 in the Vermont Vipers series, I devoured this story when it went live on Audible. Leighton Grace brings us the story of struggling romance author Lola, who meets her muse on the ice of a hockey game her brother and his date brought her to. Devon is everything she needed to get her writing mojo back as he lights the fires of her inspiration to write and other fires within too. I found myself laughing so much throughout the story as Leighton Grace knows how to deliver humor in the best of ways. Devon is enraptured by his mystery woman, who loves to wear any and all hockey apparel BESIDES the Vermont Vipers, and his competitive streak is cranked up, allowing his inner hockey star to come barreling through. After a very compelling offer presented to the both of them to "fake date" for the press, they challenge each other to many different dating scenarios where the other must go through with the date, or surrender their pride to the other. Through these "fake" dates, you can feel the sexual tension mixed with a growing sense of attraction that is rooted deeply within them both. Leighton Grace continues to bring us on this journey with Lola and Devon, sprinkling in our favorites from book 1 (give me some more Grey and Ellie!) as she gives us some twists and turns that have our characters searching deep within themselves. Between the laughter, the drama, the emotions, this 2nd book slams it straight into the net.

Now let's talk about the audio. Logan Anare puts the heart in heart throb with his performance. The banter, the comedic timing, the smoldering moments that you swear will make your earbuds melt right off your head, is masterfully narrated by him. Savannah Thomas partners up with her iconic sweetheart voice and expertly delivering the sass, and emotion as needed for the scenes with pure perfection. These two are the voices of the Vermont Vipers, and have bitten this listener where I can't get enough and happily fall under their spell.

And yes, I've already pre-ordered book 3. ;)

LOVED this audiobook!!! It was so dope!

From the very beginning of this book, I was sucked in to the story. Ellie and Grey find themselves in a complicated relationship, and our narrators Logan Anare and Savannah Thomas expertly deliver the myriad of emotions the two of them deal with together and individually. Savannah Thomas brings a youthful energy of Ellie to her performance that shines showing that Ellie is a young adult and is just learning some of life's brutal lessons, especially in the romance and relationship department. She not only lets that shine in her performance but she also brings strength and emotion. Logan Anare, one of my favorite male narrators and a 1 click purchase any time his name is on a production, gives us a performance of versatility, authenticity, and deep emotion. I found myself laughing many times throughout the book, due to the witty banter and even the locker room talk from coach, which Anare delivered flawlessly. And the tears that were brought to my eyes with the depth of heartache that is woven throughout the story. I won't give it away, but it pulls at your heartstrings. After listening to this book, I immediately pre-ordered the 2nd one in the series. Leighton Grace is a new author for me, but one that I will be sure to listen to her audiobooks that come out. As Ellie would say, it was so dope!

WOW!!! Sooooo good!!!!

First, this book is filled with so much magic, mystery, romance, and heartache, that it instantly became a favorite! I decided to listen to the "Practical Magic" series as I love the movie so much, I wanted all the bits and pieces of this amazing story that Alice Hoffman expertly created for us. To learn about the origin story of Hannah Owens and Maria Owens and everything that happened with them and how the Owens' curse came to be, was an adventure I will gladly take over and over. I was hooked from the beginning and am forever an Alice Hoffman fan!

Sutton Foster, gives us an authentic, beautiful and emotional performance. I found myself trying to listen to the book any chance I could take. 5 star, award winning performance! She brings the book to life and took me with her into this world. My highest admiration.

I hands down recommend this book over and over. Prepare to laugh, cry, get angry, sad, and be left with a deep feeling of having experienced everything the characters did through this heartfelt audiobook. The story and performance cast it's spell on me, and I am left delightfully enchanted,

Wonderful Book...Even With Editing Issues

I absolutely love this story. Having fallen in love with the movie first, I decided to listen to the audiobook to absorb all the little nuggets that the movie just won't ever give you that a book will. Though it is quite different from the movie, it is filled with so much magic that it is easy to get lost in this world again. I am forever an Alice Hoffman fan!

Now for the narration. Christina Moore is clearly a very talented narrator. I enjoyed her performance but...there is a lot of background noise that became quite distracting while listening. I almost didn't continue with the audiobook because of it. You could hear people talking in the background for long periods of time. I don't know if it was people in another room or a TV, but it was very clear it was there. This would go on for a couple hours, and then you would get silence, which is needed when recording. I am sad that due to whatever reason it was, it made it to the final audio files. Christina Moore really did do an amazing job and if you can get past that background noise, then I recommend the book. I have listened to the other 3 and this was not an issue with any of those.

A Ride You Will Enjoy

From the very beginning to the very end, K. L Kreig writes masterfully the deeply touching story of two brothers and their girl. I found myself laughing, crying, cussing and living with these characters. Maverick would say things in a way I would think them, which made me deeply connect with her. The surprising twists in the story I ate up like tantalizing gossip and craved more with each moment. I had the privilege to meet the author and have a book signing of this amazing story, but immediately looked on audible to see if it was in audio and couldn’t buy fast enough when I saw it was. Ava and Tad do an amazing job with their award winning performances. I will definitely be listening to both of them as they are now on my favorite narrator list. The best duo for this 5 star romance. Thank you for the story, all 3 of you!

Amazing story and award winning narration!!

We learn so much in this story of the light mage of Sage. I was blown away by the exceptionally talented Amy McFadden’s performance as she brought this story to life in so many ways! Laurie Forest is a favorite author of mine and this is the best way to “read” her books. I love escaping into this world of Earthia.

Holy Hotness!!!

Where do I even begin?! This story was absolutely amazing, start to finish! I was pulled in and left thinking about the story through out the day, when I wasn't able to listen. The best part, were the narrators and their performance that made it feel like I was there, in the story with them. Gregory Salinas, is my new favorite male narrator as his sexy, dark brooding voice is perfect in every way! Seriously, be sure to have some cold water near by to tame those flames! I also really enjoy his female voices as well. His Irish and Russian accents are amazing and I can't wait to listen to more of his talented work. Allyson Voller's voice is perfect for the female MC and the levels of authenticity and emotion she brings, is beautiful. Need Book 2 Now!!

Oh my goodness this book just brings you in and doesn’t let go until you surprisingly realize it’s done and you need more!! Lessa Lamb gives an absolutely amazing performance!! This is my first book listening to her narrate and she is now listed as a favorite narrator of mine. Sarah Puckett has been a long time favorite and of course I enjoyed her short little bits in this book. Neill did a great job too! The ending just leaves you feeling raw and I can only imagine what will come of this. So good!! #audiobookobsession #pinkflamingoreviewteam

5 Stars is Not Enough for This AMAZING book!!!

Where do I even begin? This story...is one of the best stories I have listened to in a long time. Dakota Willink brings us on a journey with all the emotional highs and lows, the sexy steam, and the ugly truth of life through out the relationship beween Cadence and Fitz. The first half was like reliving my teenage years in the 90's and oh how I loved that! From the song references to how Cadence felt with Fitz at 17 years old. ALL THE FEELS! Then fast forward to years later and to witness each character's growth along with their inner struggles...a masterpiece of pure perfection. Now on to the narration. As an audiobook narrator myself, I appreciate and applaud the beautiful, heartfelt, soul rendering performance of the talented Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber. They are the voices of Cadence and Fitz and they brought this story to life in an amazing and effortless way. They both receive an Audie Award from my heart to theirs from their stellar performance. I definitely have a book hangover now and I so badly want this story to continue because I am that invested in these characters. To top it all off, Dakota Willink has my highest respect for what she has done in real life with The Dahlia Project. Those issues and concerns are very close to my heart as well. Amazing finish!

I absolutely LOVED this series!! I'm a HUGE fan of the amazing performances of Sarah Puckett and she delivers an incredible performance once again with this book. Perfect voice for the series! It's always bittersweet finishing up a series as you grow attached to the characters. Sadie Moss does an awesome job pulling the story together in this last final showdown. So much drama, mystery, hot and steamy romance all tied together to create an awesome book/series. Can't go wrong with this series!
