I had to read this one for World Lit, but if I picked it up on my own, I wouldn't have finished it. The author uses language to suggest everything in her life was great and wonderful and grand and etc. Sort of made sense at first but after a while, hearing the same phrase over and over made it hard to read. Also (and I think most would guess,) she is really really ok with slavery. This is an account of slavery from a European perspective, but I would like to point out she seems to go out of her way to paint everything in very flowery, rosy language which made me think she didn't actually know anything about the subject matter. Like I get that a Europeans would view slavery in a positive light back then, but the way she described it is simply not true.

When I first delved into warhammer, I hated Fabius Bile. But a friend of mine talked me into reading this novel, and I must say, I have found a new respext and love for the primogenitor. Within the first few hours, this book quickly made its way to the top of my favorites list. It is beautifully written, and the performance is simply amazing. A must read for anyone who lokes Warhammer 40k and its lore!

This is the second Scott Sigler book I have read (the first was Earthcore) and I have to say, I really liked it. The story was extremely interesting, and held my attention. I feel that it raises a lot of rather interesting and rarely- considered questions about genetic research. HOWEVER, Mr. Sigler conclusively proves why he is not a voice actor. All the characters had ridiculous accents that made it very difficult to take them seriously. Several of the characters sounded the same. And several inexplicably spoke exclusively in a scratchy growl that I still can't find any reason for. I absolutely love Mr Sigler's work. However, I think it'll be better to just buy the paper back and read.

Wonderfuk story by a truly brilliant author. Few production issues though. One is the chapter switches. The narrator sometimes breaks in with a chapter switch mid sentence, and once even mid word. Really my only complaint.
