A good listen for review
Revisado: 09-26-23
It’s been awhile since I’ve read this book. I have the original, but I wanted to listen to the modern version. It has all the basic content, but it leaves out old references to stories of people we haven’t heard of these days. It still is a classic and reminds us how we think is really the only freedom we have, which we can use for either poverty or riches. It inspires me to make decisions, overcome doubt, fear, and negative influences in order to believe in myself, my life purpose, and the service I can give in exchange for riches. May we all learn and apply this book to our lives. This is a good one to read alongside “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and “What Color Is Your Parachute?”

There is an appetite for God. And it can be awakened. I invite you to turn from the dulling effects of food and the dangers of idolatry, and to say with some simple fast: "This much, O God, I want you."Our appetites dictate the direction of our lives - whether it be the cravings of our stomachs, the passionate desire for possessions or power, or the longings of our spirits for God.

Understand True Fasting in God
Revisado: 08-19-23
This book isn’t interested in showing you the current common uses of fasting. Instead it contrasts it with biblical methods of fasting, how Jesus tell his disciples how to fast, how it differs from the religious leaders of the day & how it differs from how His people tended to fast in ancient times.
So if you are interested in how fasting can help you get closer to God because you are hungry for more of Him and to loosen the hold of the world, the flesh, and the devil, than this book is for you!
