Historia
Terrence Mack was born poor, grew up tough, and died hard. Waking up in a sea cave with nothing but the clothes on his back and a new bullet scar was enough to convince him that wherever his death had brought him, it wasn't paradise. His new world quickly proves to be a place of danger, magic, monsters, and - for Terry at least - women. Known on Celestine as a template, Terry's genes are key to the survival of the eldritch races. But the fiercely competitive eldritch don't typically leave their lovers alive long, and aren't accustomed to taking 'no' for an answer.

Historia
Felix would like nothing more than to take a vacation. A long one. One where he didn’t have to wake up every morning and worry over casualty lists for the day. Ever since he and the Legion had been forced to flee their headquarters four years previous, nothing had gone quite right. In fact, Felix and the Legion have been locked in a shadow war with enemies unknown. Ones with magic that could carve through their technology easily.

Kill It With Fire
Revisado: 02-26-19
the first two books were slow but tolerable this one just seems to lose all charm. From showcasing crossovers heroes Runner and Vince as incompetent to villains having no motive (Seriously the gods gain power and life from prayer but seek to exterminate all life because reasons?) and throwing in an apocalypse just for hoots. The good times to be had in this book are just so far and few between that it's not worth it.

Historia
In a world full of super powers, Felix had a pretty crappy one. After learning to harness his ability to modify any item he owns, he now runs a corporation that is rapidly expanding - Legion. After tangling with the local Heroes guild they’ve finally settled into a semblance of stability. Sounds great on paper. Run your company, make money, be your own boss, settle down. Except that with running a business, comes an inordinate amount of responsibilities. Like making sure everything keeps running and your people are paid.

Eh
Revisado: 02-26-19
I didn't love or hate the first and thought it would get better but this book is kind of a chore, the ecchi is still weak and the story feels slower than the first. By this point I decided to just grit my teeth and continue because it crossed over with Wild Wastes and I wanted to see that from this perspective.

In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.

To be honest I only bought it because it seemed similar to Wild Wastes but the ecchi is weak and the story is kind of midling.

Historia
Five years ago Corin Cadence's brother entered the Serpent Spire - a colossal tower with ever-shifting rooms, traps, and monsters. Those who survive the spire's trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire's goddess. He never returned. Now it's Corin's turn. He's headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

Kind of Eh
Revisado: 07-18-18
To be fair I may be a slave to expectation but how could I not be when a previous reviewer pointed to The Kingkiller Chronicles as being a similar read. Without spoiling too much the main character comes off anywhere between a tad feminine to a giant sissy at various points in the book, there's a "surprise reveal" partway through the book that may explain this but it that only hampered him as he became little more than a stereotype in my mind. it's also hard to get behind a protagonist that actively fights against progression particularly when done so much that basically every other character outshines them. In the end this book just made me think of Final Fantasy 12 in which every other character has some use, some reason, some impact to the greater story while the lead is kind of just a puppet on a string being pulled along with no real importance. Side Note* Nick Podehl did a wonderful job in narration.

Hard Read
Revisado: 04-19-18
If you grew to be a fan of Darrow through the Red Rising trilogy this book is a hard read/listen. The use of 4 character POV's makes it feel rather disjointed, particularly when you come to hate 3 of the 4. I do not wish to spoil so I shall just use color to announce 3 of the 4 since obviously the 4th is Darrow. Gold, Grey and Red come off as whiny, greedy scum through most of the book though Red is sympathetic in the beginning both Gold and Grey are trash in the beginning, thankfully towards the end both Grey and Red become more tolerable as they learn to think about others aside from themselves but Gold just becomes worse.

Dalinar Kholin's Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost. The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. A Step Forward
Revisado: 12-06-17
While at times it was frustrating particularly when dealing with a character that has had two major scene stealing scenes in the previous books it is a step forward and kept my attention and interest from beginning to end. The Stormlight Archives has easily become one of my favorite book series and one I couldn't recommend enough.

Pretty Good
Revisado: 01-21-17
Overall the book is rather good but as with most of the others I found myself bored when the story came around to Amara and Bernard, I also found at maybe about 1 hour and 40 minutes in or so Kitai suddenly annoyed the hell out of me which is a damn shame considering I ranked her amongst my favorites behind Vaug and perhaps on par with Tavi.
