I have always been a fan of Leah’s, and loved her personality. I watched her show Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath and was very intrigued, as I’d heard things about Scientology over the years but not anything of substance or from a firsthand perspective. This book is engaging and interesting on every level, and it lays all the details out. She tells harsh truths and realizations about herself, her life and everyone in it, and about the Scientology organization. Hearing it in her voice and with her tone and inflections make it the perfect “read”. It is of good length - when I was scared it might be over, thankfully she kept going. When it did finally end, even though I didn’t want the story to be over I didn’t feel like I was cheated or that there should have been more left. Great book, great author, great narrator.

I am a big fan of Al Roker already, and this book was great. If it hadn’t been narrated by him, I wasn’t interested. His and Deborah’s voices are very familiar, comforting, and relatable. They tell the stories with the perfect tone. I cried twice. Get the book - you will not be sorry.
