Historia
A rogue Russian nuke sails toward the harbors of Los Angeles in the hull of a ramshackle sailboat. Without destroying a single building, the bomb shatters the latticework of the American dream, toppling one piece of the economy after another. A group of Special Forces veterans and their prepper friends scramble for survival in a worldwide catastrophe so psychologically disruptive they are left questioning everything they ever believed to be true.

Heavily Mormon influenced
Revisado: 01-26-25
The story is said in Utah, as such for this author is heavily Mormon influenced. They do not push the Mormon doctrine in the story, however there is, some Church logistic structure explained which is good to no information. I compared this book directly to the book 'One second after' thus, it's overall rating. I do like the authors storyline with respect to those who had their head in the sand about using Force to defend against Force.

Historia
During the largest winter storm in a 100 years, America is hit with a multi-pronged cyberattack that destroys the power grid, crippling the country at the worst possible moment. Like millions of others, Nate Bauer and his pregnant wife Amy are bracing for the coming storm, when the lights go out. For years, living in the shadow of a nuclear power plant had been a source of employment and security for their tiny community.

Not worth the time
Revisado: 08-05-24
Not what I was expecting. The storyline was not consistent, the ending seemed rushed. I would not recommend this to a friend.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

I normally listen to audiobooks in my vehicle while traveling. This is the first audiobook I did not follow that pattern on and listened to more often than I would like to admit at home. Even though I know it's a book, I always wanted to know what would happen in the next chapter, incredibly hard to stop listening to/ reading.

hard to turn off when you get to work
Revisado: 10-14-22
This book was fun. As stated in the title, It was hard to simply turn it off when I got to work and not listen to the end of the chapter for a proper pause to the storyline. Take the chance and enjoy a good story.

Historia
As a sci-fi author with a hit TV show, I have a few ideas about what alien invaders are supposed to look like. In my stories, they’re technologically advanced monsters, with tentacles, and no faces. Turns out I was right about the technology. And about how angry they’d be. But the way they look is more terrifying than even I could have imagined. They look exactly like us. Because they are us.

Historia
Following his mission on Cappa, Colonel Carl Butler returns to a mixed reception. To some, he is a do-or-die war hero. To the other half of the galaxy, he’s a pariah. Forced into retirement, he has resettled on Talca Four where he’s now Deputy VP of Corporate Security, protecting a high-tech military company on the corporate battlefield - at least, that’s what the job description says. Really, he’s just there to impress clients and investors. It’s all relatively low risk - until he’s entrusted with new orders.

character development is done well. The audio performance by Bray awesome as always. being able to bring multiple characters to life. The way Mammay touches that cord of combat experience, the kind that gives you nightmares, is well, it's good to know that I'm not the only one.

Great space Opera. Fun cast of characters. Enough realism and future tech to make it really relatable. Narrator brings the characters to look life.
