he killed Boulder at the end?! Nothing lead up to this and the way it went down killed my interest in going any further. The author's saucy vocabulary always makes me laugh, but this just turned me off immensely.

every time he said "my harem" or "my lovers" in the middle of combat, it broke up the action.
I wouldn't recommend this unless you enjoy a lot of sex and a lot of VAs acting horny

I'll be straight. This sounded like someone's first attempt at writing porn. I only made it about an hour or two before throwing in the towel. The writing is unimaginative, I literally heard the word "lust" reused 5 times in the same 2 min, and there isn't enough going on to really had me invested in the story. The only saving grace would be the narrator, who I honestly wouldn't mind listening to some ASMR as she describes a bubbling brook, but even she can't save what I was hearing.

I originally picked this up since it was a collection, but I think I want my credit back.

I have mixed feelings

the book started really strong, but as I got into the later parts of it, I kept finding myself frustrated at the "bad guy is bad" theme that kept playing out. Don't get me wrong, I still found a lot to enjoy, but it started getting to the point where I was stuck wondering if anything was going to happen.

Why am I suddenly bored?

I've been listening since the first ritualist came out and... I dunno. Over time it feels like the story is kinda just doing its own thing and anything that originally resembled the plot kinda ended up tossed to the wayside. I ended up quitting this story with 2 hours left and only picked it back up to fill empty space where I didn't have to really listen that closely. We'll see if I keep with it or start looking for warmer waters.

Early on, the narrator made me smile at times, but the longer the story kept going, with the MC Mary Sue constantly gaining new powers, always surviving by the skin of her teeth, and her being as interesting as a paper bag, this easily landed itself in my bottom tier lit RPGs.

No one likes a character that does nothing but show how incompetent the rest of the world is. Definitely won't be picking up the 2nd book.

I'm struggling just to listen to this. the MC comes across as robotic (yes, I know he is one), and the author's world views bleed in a little too hard.

from the time he was fighting for his human rights, which felt far too out of place given the situation, to the piss poor haggling, which was unbelievable as it could possibly be (the guy seriously kept lowering the offer and adding more to the deal), this whole thing felt as disconnected as it could possibly be.

I have every reason to believe that the author doesn't even read books and decided to write one.

will be looking for a refund, but won't get the hours back I wasted on the first several parts of this book.

I felt like I was about to have an anurism by the time I finished.

The main character needs to go to horny jail.
Seriously, I've read stories about harems that are less horny than this.

I found myself laughing more often than not at this cheesy power fantasy. The MC thinks with his lower brain more often than not and needed someone to keep his cocky attitude in check.
The only reason I rated it as high as I did was I found the cringe antics amusing.
