Finally more Solar Clipper & Ishmael and company!!
Revisado: 11-30-23
I saw they had published this and the next one and was praying they would get them out on Audible. Well this being the first of the new series has not disappointed. I think the way NL has reintroduced us to our captain and crew was good. The catalyst that is Ishmael always has interesting fortunes surrounding him. Can’t wait till Audible gets the next book produced

A Fun cliché
Revisado: 09-25-23
A fun romp through yesteryear’s ideas of spy craft . I first started with John’s Old Man’s War and he hasn’t disappointed me yet. This one is as much fun as Red shirts maybe even a bit more . Will Wheaton’s infectious joy of working with a fun story really shown through and made it even more enjoyable and entertaining. If you’re a fan of John Scalzi this story won’t disappoint.

Historia
Benedict Sorellin-Lancaster hasn't even broken in his lieutenant's insignia when he's summoned to meet with the Spirearch of Spire Albion himself for a very special—and very secret—purpose. The Spirearch needs Benedict to retrieve a bag he's "misplaced" on the Colony Spire known as Dependence, which has strangely cut off all contact with the outside world. It's a delicate mission at best, a potential bloodbath at worst. To this end, the Spirearch has supplied Benedict with backup in the form of three Warriorborn.

A bit predictable, but adds some backstory for the main storyline
Revisado: 09-20-23
Euan’s performance was was off compared to the freshman debut of the series. Having heard other performances by him, I can only attribute it to bad direction given during the recording of the performance. The story itself was a bit predictable, but good to add to more backstory to its main character as well as helping the plot line in the upcoming sophomore book of the series due out in few weeks. If you’re a fan of Jim Butcher I think you’ll enjoy this and hopefully it will help to quench the thirst a touch while waiting for Jim to type faster.🙂

Historia
Imagine a 1980s world of sumptuous hotel rooms, restaurants, New York City penthouses, and the powerful men who move easily between these pinnacles of luxury. They are music producers, rock stars, writers, and restaurateurs. They are household names like Billy Joel, Art Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, and Sting. And yet, each man has an entire aspect to his life that he doesn’t talk about publicly—his depression, his rocky marriage, his feelings of shame and failure, his private loss of faith. And now: The phone rings. Imagine the woman who has each of these men at her beck and call.

Continuation of a great space story
Revisado: 11-13-21
After getting two suggestions from audible books I might like I took a chance on this author. The first was in a different genre and I found it enjoyable. The second was the series from which this series stems. It’s not a wiz, bang shoot’m up space adventure so if that’s what you are looking for you probably won’t be so happy with this. It is a different story and starts with a book called “Quarter Share “ by the author. The story follows the career of an individual who chooses a path in working in space on ships and his adventures leading into this series. This book is where the author has desided to continue that story. I would highly recommend you get and read the first book and all that follow from there to here. The author’s first hand knowledge of seafare and ability to weave a interesting story like that of old is refreshing. Try them all you won’t be disappointed

Jane Sagan: Soldier. Killer. Lover. Dreamer. In John Scalzi's best-selling Old Man's War series of science-fiction novels, we see this warrior woman as the other characters see her - silent and strong, from the outside. But now The Sagan Diary shows us Sagan from another point of view: her own, as she prepares to leave military life and join her new husband and adopted daughter on a colony world.

Nice surprise
Revisado: 04-28-18
When I bought this book, I was thinking it would be like most and told in the usual ways. I became very surprised finding out it was not. Rethinking my assumptions I geared up for the challenge of something different and new to me, and then enjoyed its full measure as it unfolded. It’s a good story, told from a unique perspective and in a different way. Well worth the time

Great listen for teens and fans of Heinlein
Revisado: 01-10-12
Would you listen to Tunnel in the Sky again? Why?
I will listen to it again. The characters voices come alive and are not just a casual read of the story. Well done!
What did you like best about this story?
After having read the book 10+ times over the years, it was an unexpected pleasure to find it in audio, and even more enjoyable that the performances were so true to the book and what I felt they should have been.
Any additional comments?
A great listen for teens starting to get into sci-fi of Heinlein's youth based works and for his fans in general.
