Can two people from very different walks of life see past the problems connecting them to be together, or will it all come crumbling down ?

Laura Pavlov has done it once again with such a banger start to this new series ! I loved absolutely everything about the small town of Magnolia Falls + all of the wonderful people who live in it . Seeing Lincoln + Brinkley again was one of my favorite parts of this book because not only do I love them but Cottonwood Cove will live with me forever ! I can’t wait for the next book, Wild River, so we can see just how hard our bad boy River falls for the bar owners daughter, Rose !

This is book one in the Magnolia Falls series + it can be read as a complete stand-alone .

Sloane is a single mother who is on the run . Finally fleeing California with her daughter Callie after a decade of hurt, lies + abuse, Sloane will stop at nothing to keep her daughter safe . Which is why we find her starting a new life far away in the Scottish Highlands . Settling in after a hard transition year Sloane has a great job, Callie is happy and making friends + everything is finally starting to feel a little more safe again . Especially with the hulk of man known as Walker Ironside - head of security at the members-only club Sloane now works at . Problem is he is totally + 100% not interested in her .. or is he ?

Walker Ironside is haunted by memories from his past . Devoting all his time to his work is his favorite distraction + is also why he never lets anyone get close to him . Until a spunky little American moves to the Scottish Highlands + starts a new job as a housekeeper at the club . Playing uninterested for awhile was easy at first but once Sloane has Walker in her sights, all bets are off . Seeing her everyday is starting to become more + more of a challenge for Walker . How long will he be able to stay away to protect them or will blurred lines get in the way of Sloane + Callie’s safety ?

Overall this was a great book but I did find myself not fully likely the flow . The largest piece of conflict + chaos seemed to happen way too early in the book . Which then made the end conflict seem small + not as important . I also felt like the end conflict was just resolved way too easily + quickly and then a bow was slapped on it to make it all perfect again . None of it took away from the story, it just seemed like it could have been structured a little better .

This is the first book in The Highland Series + it can be read as a complete stand alone .

Grumpy Boss + Sunshine Assistant Romance 💋

Maddox comes across as your stereotypical, sexy as sin, billionaire who is a grouchy workaholic and never lets anyone in . Maddox is in need of a new assistant who has the skills to keep up with him + the quick-wittedness to not quit after a week . Desperate for a new assistant after the last interviewee showed up stoned, Georgia is just the person to take on this job + succeed .

Georgia Reynolds is a walking ray of sunshine + real life Disney princess all wrapped up into one perfect quirky bow . Desperate for a new job and a fresh start after breaking up with her boyfriend for cheating on her with her best friend/roommate + stealing her car and holding it for ransom until she takes him back, Georgia will accept any job to get her back on her feet and not let her family know of the humiliation that is her love life .

Maddox + Georgia are so explosive with their chemistry that I couldn’t put this book down ! From their very first meeting the sparks between them were burning hot but neither of them wanted to jump on the feelings because of the boss/employee relationship + both not knowing what exactly it is they wanted . Finally when the desire is to strong for either of them to ignore anymore they start the game of sneaking around and it is HOT HOT HOT !

Maddox has a very dirty mouth + absolutely loved it . Georgia was a breath of fresh air to read because she never changed anything about herself to make Maddox fall in love with her - she stayed true to herself + that made me an immediate fan . I too have a love for 70’s music + I have never been one to turn down a dance party !

This is the second book in the Cottonwood Cove Series but it can be read as a stand-alone . This series is so so so good that I can not wait to read what happens next with sassy Brinkley + the rest of the Cottonwood Cove crew . I am completely hooked !

Professor + Student Forbidden Romance 🔥

Sawyer Redmond is on a one year “probation” after a scandal with his firm + partner left him to do some serious public image work on himself . His sentence is being served as a new professor at his alma mater . A place where he doesn’t want to be and where he isn’t welcomed .

Olivia Barclay is a 19 year old, perfect daughter, who knows that public image is all there is in this world .. well at least thats what her parents believe + she sadly follows along . Liv is in her sophomore year and is finding herself tired of her boring prim and proper life . That’s why she is at a strip club with her friends when she meets a very sexy Sawyer + their chemistry is off the charts instantly .

Trouble strikes on the first day of class when professor Sawyer finds out that Liv isn’t in fact an alumni student .. she is a current student - his student . The two of them struggle constantly with where the line of right + wrong is being crossed to far . The banter between them is hilarious while the steam between them makes my glasses fog up !

There are so many twist, turns + “what if’s” throughout the story that it kept me on my toes the whole time and I read the book in one sitting . Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen next another curve ball would come out of no where + would make me addicted for more !

This was the perfect ending to such a great series ! Everything gets wrapped up in a nice little bow with all of our questions answered + a happily ever after .

Claim is the third and final book in the Off Limits Trilogy . It can not be read as a stand-alone .
