I enjoyed reading the book Black privilege opportunity comes to those who create it. I recommend it to all black youth entering 7th grade. It can definitely be helpful during the turning point in a young boys life.

l loved this book. It was an electrifying read. It was so poised, and through provoking. Listening to Barack Obama's words brought words and stories brought the images to life. At time it felt like I was there. I was able to envision his historical experience and those of his family as well. In my opinion this is an amazing book. It inspired hope, love, and resiliency. I recommend this book for all young boys. I think this book should be a requured read in schools in the U.S. as early as 5th grade. The audio version should be played and each child should have a paperback book to follow along. Before leaving high school I believe that every youth should have read Dreams from my father: A story of race and inheritance.

This was a great book. I loved it. I would encourage anyone interested in a good read, seeking inspiration or that need a little motivation to read Becoming.

This is a great book. It provides good insight into how the most oppressed and vulnerable individuals in our society try to survive. This book gives an account of how government systems continue to make laws that oppress the poor and how messages of ignorance continue to stigmatize those most in need.
