Revisado: 03-12-25
I enjoy the science behind the show. All the advance theories in regards to the multiverse, duh, bioengineering, astrophysics, advance tech and such can serve as an easy listen for those that know a lot more. And I salute to those just starting and their using this to get started. Though it would be nice if they update it more. All and all it was good.

You might not realize it, but we’re already living through the beginnings of climate chaos. In Arizona, laborers now start their day at three a.m. because it’s too hot to work past noon. Chinese investors are snapping up real estate in Canada. Millennials have evacuation plans. Moguls are building bunkers. Retirees in Miami are moving inland. In How to Prepare for Climate Change, best-selling self-help author David Pogue offers sensible, deeply researched advice for how the rest of us should start to ready ourselves for the years ahead.

Scary and Entertaining

I liked the story; liked how the narrator sets the tone for the characters and imagery. But I liked how the story touches the implications and nature of intelligence, consciousness, and personhood.

Historia
Golan Trevize, former councilman of the First Foundation, has chosen the future, and it is Gaia. A superorganism, Gaia is a holistic planet with a common consciousness so intensely united that every dewdrop, every pebble, every being, can speak for all - and feel for all. It is a realm in which privacy is not only undesirable, it is incomprehensible. But is it the right choice for the destiny of mankind? While Trevize feels it is, that is not enough. He must know.

A satisfying conclusion to The Foundation Series
Revisado: 03-04-24
The beginning is, at least for me, a little dry for me; but as soon as I pushed through the plot becomes more interesting. And I read the last two pages it gave me an eerily sensation like I was reading the the Dark Forest hypothesis by Cixin Liu, but more shorter and way less suspensful. Guest Isaac Asimov wasn't the only science fiction writer hinting at this.

A little long, but notably distinct from the other Foundation books. Wroth the read for 'die-hard' fans of Issac Asimov.

Historia
This near-future trilogy is the first chance for English-speaking listeners to experience this multiple-award-winning phenomenon from Cixin Liu, China's most beloved science fiction author. In The Dark Forest, Earth is reeling from the revelation of a coming alien invasion - in just four centuries' time. The aliens' human collaborators may have been defeated, but the presence of the sophons, the subatomic particles that allow Trisolaris instant access to all human information, means that Earth's defense plans are totally exposed to the enemy.

Fun and scary idea.

The story surpassed my expectations. Over all it was an enthralling take on the Femi's Paradox. But, it also a disturbing idea if true.

Practical wisdom for this age and the next.
Revisado: 07-20-22
l liked listening and reading to this treasure trove of wisdom. It's like listening to a wise man who lived a long thoughtful life around a camp fire late at night. Someone who imparts his wisdom in hopes that the next generation (whom they maybe and regardless of the era they live) can live a practical life in accordance to Nature and the Universe; and the ever growing sea of knowledge we accumulate.
