Historia
Pastor Jason Faircloth knows what he believes. His clear faith, in fact, is why he is one of the most prominent pastors in Atlanta. He relies on it to discipline his daughter, his wife, his church. He prays daily that others would come to see God's ways as he does. And it will cost him everything he has. Groping for answers in the face of tragedy, Jason is determined to find the one person left who might provide healing: the granddaughter kept hidden from him.

A timeless classic that profoundly impacted my Christian life and views
Revisado: 05-03-25
I don’t typically like to re-read books, but this is one that I have enjoyed for the 3rd time after a couple of decades of being significantly impacted by it during the first 2 readings. It formed a part of shaping my understanding of true Christianity through it’s raw and sometimes even harsh, but real description of our world - and what a genuine Christian response should be despite the difficulties. In a superficial world all about image, and religious laws and regulations and mindless control, the author here manages to break life down into a simple message of true and authentic relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. I strongly recommend this book, but issue the caution that it may break your superficial concept of Christianity.

Historia
Jessica (Jess) Jamison is a genius, a beautiful, highly introverted, young woman who can count her friends on her thumbs. Seven years ago, Vince left, shattering her heart. Now Jess has a Computer Science degree and still prays her childhood soulmate will come home. If he’s willing to reconcile their relationship, Jess can help Vince take the reins of Virtuality. But why is someone trying to kill Vince and her? And could Professor Scoggins be right—that, in the wrong hands, Virtuality’s technology could shred the fabric of civilization, and stopping it may literally take an act of Congress?

Story was ok, but narration can be greatly improved
Revisado: 03-14-24
The story was fine, but really not the best. But the most difficult was the narration, even though it seemed to improve at the end. I actually had to go back to the book details to see if it was perhaps provided by some robotic voice generator. I am sure that with practice and awareness this can be greatly improved, but I can only term this instance a learning experience. I only hope my honest opinion can help others in their selection and the narrator improve his craft.

Really loved this captivating suspenseful well-told story with it’s interesting characters and an excellent story line. And also very well narrated. Going to explore the other books from this author.
