The top 10 list is populated. The sponsorship program is open. The difficulty is ramping up. The first three floors were nothing compared to what Carl and Donut now face. The Iron Tangle. An impossibly complicated subway system built out of the world's subterranean railway systems, all combined and then tied together into a knot. Up is down.

It's a great book and Jeff Hayes is a great narrator. He's "dead ass sexy".

I love Jeff Hays and Soundbooth, and I'm always looking for new series to enjoy of theirs. The performance really shows how talented Jeff Hays is. The first book in the series was okay but this one really got me looking forward to the next one and wanting to continue the story. If you thought the first was decent then give this one a chance.

Super preachy, misinformation, but hilarious.

"men only die when they make mistakes"
Yeah, I kid you not. But it tries so hard to be convincing it made for an extremely hilarious book. Some of the "you should've guess this character was black" was borderline demeaning to black people. You gotta have a black news anchor for a black person that died? Does anyone really care about that? They're dead!
I get the book is suppose to have jokes and be over the top but the parts that are meant to be serious are the parts I found hilarious because it's so ridiculous.
The narrator is fine, she's a little slow reading but she does a great job on the delivery.
The book is garbage. If I wanted to read a women's or black people's empowerment speech then I'd go find a book on it, not from a work of fiction.

Historia
This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying to get by in extraordinary times. When disaster strikes, Mike, a self-proclaimed survivalist, does his best to ensure the safety and security of those he cares for. Book One of the Zombie Fallout Trilogy follows our lead character at his self-deprecating, sarcastic best. What he encounters along the way leads him down a long dark road, always skirting the edge of insanity.

Pretty decent zombie story but one problem.
Revisado: 06-15-23
One pet peeve of mine, one of the 17, is when an author writes in a gun owner but doesn't know the difference between a clip and magazine. I thought authors researched these things, or were suppose to. I mean how hard is it to do a quick Google search. He did get some of the gun shot wounds right. He didn't write explosive gun shots that throw objects 20 feet from where they stand. But an M16 uses magazines, not clips!

At the mercy of an unknown entity, Clyde gets tossed into the anime world. Yes, it exists, we just don't know it. There, he's declared the Stone, the anime main character. One day, he must kill the Viper, or else it's good-bye, Earth. This is the comedic tale of a young man vs. cliche anime tropes.

It's so cringe inducing. The conversations between characters is completely unbelievable. The narrator is so boring and just trash. I can't say enough bad things about this book.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Pretty good except for...
Revisado: 03-10-23
I've always been a huge King fan, and this has been some of his best work yet. The only really complaint I have, is that he's injected his political beliefs into his stories more and more as time as gone on. He feels like he should be a warrior for his beliefs. I just want a good story. If you like fantasy and wonderful world building, then this is for you.

Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Great book. Voice acting was nice but weird
Revisado: 05-02-22
The story is wonderful. The voice acting would switch up between actor and narrator literally from one sentence to the next at times. I didn't like it. should've just left it alone, really.

I'm from the town in which this book is referenced. My grandpa worked for James Jackson and retired from RCM. He went to his grave a few years ago still believing Jackson to be an innocent man. This book is amazing and the narrator completed the package.

Historia
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Decent book, action packed, but lacking.
Revisado: 09-17-21
I believe this book proves a few things about King. For one, he doesn't know anything about guns, gun shot wounds, or ballistics at all.
Another, it shows he doesn't really know much about Republicans or the way they think, talk, and act. Barbie told Julia she wasn't sounding like much of a Republican, but what does a Republican sound like? You can't be critical of other politically like minded people as a Republican? Ridiculous.
Thirdly, I believe King has no clue how teenagers of the era actually talked. No teen in the late 2000s said gnarly, radical, or groovy. Soul brother? That sounds like something my dad would've said to try to sound cool and young.
Lastly, and most importantly, this book shows the problem King has the most, and that's ending a novel. I've been a fan of King for years, decades even, and the one consistent thing I've noticed is his inability to wrap up a story.
Don't get me wrong, I know I've been pretty critical in this review, but I really did enjoy the book. The story was great and left me wanting more of the story. King is very talented and a legend of his time. If you enjoy his work then you'll certainly enjoy this one too.
