I was a fan on the Easy German YouTube channel early on in my journey of learning German. This podcast is a wonderful way to practice comprehension as well as reinforce vocabulary. I also get to learn about German culture and current events and love the entertaining format.

Annoying and frustrating

I like the concept and it does help me get to sleep, but it's super annoying to have the author guide you with "I wonder if you can..." She wonders if I can repeat a phrase or imagine whatever? Just guide me through the process, don't "wonder" if I am capable. geesh.
The guided hypnosis is followed with a couple of hours of nice soothing tonal sounds which help when I am sleeping lightly and awaking, but then at the end, the narrator reads credits! albeit in the soothing voice, but seriously!?! If you're fortunate enough to actually be sleeping, but only in a light phase of sleep, be prepared to be awakened again. UGH!

Good progression, enjoyable story

Each book in the Dino series progresses nicely into more advanced vocabulary and grammar. Dino also progresses in maturity and responsibility with each new adventure.
I enjoy the stories and find myself challenged in compression with each new book. I listen to the stories repeatedly, feeling like I am way over my head at first, then gaining understanding as I listen again and pick up on context.
I also continue with my Duolingo lessons and realize that I am hearing words that I have recently learned being used and understanding is reinforced.
The Dino stories are a huge asset to truly learning the language.

Real, honest and delightfully substantive

I have no doubt that I would have enjoyed the book in print, but am so thankful I chose to listen to it instead. Hearing M.M. tell the story in his own voice was a treat filled with humor, insight, wisdom and whimsy. I am filled with admiration and respect for the man, that was until now, just a delightful actor who was easy on the eyes.
This world desperately needs more men like Matthew McConaughey...men of substance, character and conviction and the balls to live up to more than society's expectations.

The Dino series progresses nicely in pace, vocabulary and sentence complexity. the story is just challenging enough to facilitate learning yet retain understanding through context. Great development of Dino's character wrapped in an interesting story.

relaxing and sleep evoking

Nice soothing story read in a calm, soothing tone of voice. Rarely does it fail to lull me to sleep before the first customer enters the shop.
