A great medical memoir. It provides insight into a rare disease and the people that suffer from it. Fajgenbaum shows great intellect and courage.

Mediocre story with terrible dialogue. A predictable plot with two dimensional characters. No innovations in a first contact storyline.

Two superficial biographies in one book. They didn’t seem like likable characters. The author was too credulous.

Didn’t like it at all. Lazy writing and poor storytelling. 1 I wanted my credit back.

A quirky but enjoyable read. The stories are as engaging as the author is enthusiastic.

The author makes the reader aware of how dependent we are on computers. Everything from Banking to oil production to communications and the electric grid depends on the flawless function of our computers. He outlines the major threats and the USA's posture on preventing and waging a cyberwar. A book worth reading.

Cliched writing and a plot filled with holes and contradictions. The narrator worked with bad material but his characterizations were annoying.

There is very little discussion of the artificial hearts themselves, but a lot of discussion about the personalities of the men who made them. There is no attempt to look at the development of the artificial heart outside of the Texas Heart Institute.

Would you try another book from David Greenberg and/or Christopher Price?

Greenberg no, Price yes

Has Republic of Spin turned you off from other books in this genre?

His book purports to be an objective look at political spin, yet is relentlessly spinning left wing talking points. Regan bad, Clinton good, Bush bad, Obama good. Climate change is settled science and Bush supported "lunatic fringe" of scientists who claimed there was not a lot of evidence to support it.

Any additional comments?

I don't recommend this book to people who are looking for an objective or balanced look at political propaganda.

He's no Jack Reacher

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

no

What was most disappointing about Andrew Peterson’s story?

It was compared to Lee Child's Jack Reacher character. He's no Jack Reacher. Rather, he's Jack Reacher for the new millennium. Soft, sensitive, a guy that "needs a hug."

Could you see First to Kill being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Paul Rudd
