Revisado: 07-04-20
The third Marketville Mystery book and the third that I have listened to explores the dynamics of a dysfunctional family. As a requirement of her Grandmother's will, Callie asked to look into the disappearance of Brandon, grandson of her great-grandmother's friend at the nursing home. Brandon left home as a young man and had not been heard from in over 20 years. As usual I enjoyed all the characters and found the story interesting. Again the narration was excellent. Suicide? Murder?
Revisado: 05-14-20
Dead Weight is the fourth in the Jack Hart series , of which I have only listened to the first one. This book can be listened to without prior knowledge of the earlier books, however, I would have liked to have read the evolution of Jack and Harmony. Dead Weight is about the murder or suicide of a girl who has recently lost a lot of weight. Great characters, fast pace, good dialogue, very unexpected story with multiple twists. The narration by Noah DeBiase is good . A very enjoyable listen. I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

As Hannibal works to recover Cindy’s stolen funds, he stumbles down a rabbit hole of red herrings, double-crosses, and murders. This was a mystery that kept you interested and guessing to the end. The narration was good as usual with this series.

Action starts off fairly quickly. This was an enjoyable listen with very good narration. Jack is a normal guy, who like the rest of us makes foolish and hurried decisions, but the cabbie is the most interesting character Good strong storyline lots of unexpected twists and turns.
