The names of notorious serial killers are usually well-known; they echo in the news and in public consciousness. But most people have never heard of Israel Keyes, one of the most ambitious and terrifying serial killers in modern history American Predator is the ambitious culmination of years of interviews with key figures in law enforcement and in Keyes's life, and research uncovered from classified FBI files. Callahan takes us on a journey into the chilling, nightmarish mind of a relentless killer, and to the limitations of traditional law enforcement.

Slow start, but stick with it
Revisado: 03-15-21
This book starts out slow and takes a little while to build up, but stick with it. Once the story gets going, it’s gripping!

Here, together for the first time, are the shorter works of best-selling author Jim Butcher - a compendium of cases that Harry and his cadre of allies managed to close in record time. The tales range from the deadly serious to the absurdly hilarious.

Made me enjoy the series so much more
Revisado: 05-15-17
This book does not contain the best stories in the series, but that's not the point. What this book gives you is a really fascinating perspective on who Harry Dresden that is missing in all the other books simply because we always see things through his eyes. Most notably, it is an interesting commentary on his power and magical abilities. The stories put into perspective how extraordinary he is relative to other human characters and also how much others rely on and admire him. Definitely do not skip this.
