How was that one reader?
Revisado: 03-11-24
I was hanging on the edge of my seat for this entire book. It was so real and so picturesque. And it wasn’t scary. But that narrator could do so many voices. It’s unbelievable. I am buying more books by this author.

This guy is hilarious just riffing. Awesome recall of his life adventure both ups and downs. I’m not at all like him, yet I was inspired for my own life.

Thanks for my Southern vacation!
Revisado: 09-19-23
I love the south, but I don’t live there. After listening to the story, I feel like I took a great vacation there and learn more about the culture the people and the values that I actually would’ve going there. Thank you for the amazing writing and loving description of your life and your people.

Love this book tying in history and family and caring about the land and people around you more than money. David paints the most vivid pictures with his words. Not sure why authors notes mention a hope for a movie deal after mentioning those core values but David Baldacci is an amazing author and he makes me regret the final chapter coming to an end every time.

Since I have been a Christian for a long time, many of these names were familiar. It was really cool to hear how Trotman led the way in many of the modern day evangelism organizations. It was fascinating to me.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Character, duty, honesty and love… this man has been through several lifetimes.
Revisado: 02-04-23
What a striking portrayal of a world I’ve always been curious about. Finally, someone has chosen vulnerability and honesty at great personal price to attempt to make sense of his own life. I am so shocked by this window into the distant and cold nature of Royal life and how it is maintained. I am saddened by the early life of this prince and I am so gladdened that he was able to turn the worst of things around and find love and joy. Nothing but admiration for his strength of character, duty, honesty and love.

Together they ran the town's popular Whistle Stop Cafe, known far and wide for its fun and famous fried green tomatoes. And as Bud often said of his childhood to his daughter, Ruthie, "How lucky can you get?"

The perfect feel good
Revisado: 01-03-23
Fannie Flagg does it again in bringing to life delightful characters that just make you wanna move to the gracious South. I can never get enough of her wit and charm that comes through in each one of the delightful people we meet in her stories. She so cleverly ties together the people in this book over time and foreshadows enough to make you cheering for the next happy thing that comes along, even if it means saying good bye to dear people that we love. I feel like I’m more prepared to die myself now. The worst part is that each of her books eventually has to end.

Historia
Twenty-five years after her passing, Audrey Hepburn remains the most beloved of all Hollywood stars, known as much for her role as UNICEF ambassador as for films like Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Several biographies have chronicled her stardom, but none has covered her intense experiences through five years of Nazi occupation in the Netherlands. According to her son, Luca Dotti, "The war made my mother who she was."

Depressing part of an amazing life
Revisado: 04-24-20
So much repetition of the occupation during WW2. With a life like Audrey’s, Audible should offer the first time readers of her life something that honors not only her tragedies, but her accomplishments. I cannot imagine your Audible readers clicking on this story with the intent of hearing hours and hours of WW2 with very very little else. Such a depressing presentation.
