I was really enjoying this book. It had everything I like. Brave heroine, who takes charge of her life. Handsome heroes, Lots of derring do, A touch of romance and magic. But then it devolved into graphic torture and violence. Why? At that point, I stopped reading and removed it from my library. I was so sad to do it because I was really enjoying the book

Nice story

Nice story but as a cape codder, I have to say, it’s not realistic. The Cape does not have one water provider. Most towns have several water districts, each with their own wells and pumping capacity and each water district serves just the houses within it’s borders.

Loved it.

The writer built a whole world that sounds vaguely like a video game. Keep waiting to find out what the real deal is. The main characters aren’t happy. They were transferred to this alien world filled with monsters and magic against their will. I didn’t hate them. I’m hoping they get happier in book two.

An excellent story in one of my favorite series. Great character development and a plot the winds up satisfactorily, but leaves lots of threads for future stories. Keep them coming!

Predicts the affects of the 2020 Pandemic!

Seriously ironic. It was released in 2017. Projects the results of the 2020 pandemic. The focus is on stopping a global outbreak, quarantine, and economic breakdown. The book supposes that 62M will die in year one worldwide. Right now, almost a year in, “only” 2,063,107 have died.
Too bad the happy ending that stops it in the book didn’t happen in real life.

The Dani turns hysterical

I've enjoyed this series, it's not the best but it's entertaining. But this book? I found myself yelling "stop being a jerk." "What's wrong with you." And similar things. Her going off the deep end was overdone and not in keeping with the character. I finished it for the sake of the plot, but there were a couple of times when I almost stopped listening. Hoping the next one won't be so overly dramatic in terms of her behavior.

Great series but tired of characters not evolving

I love this series but it's getting tiring listening to Lula and some of the others who have failed to evolve at all over the course of 25 books. I'd love to see lula especially move from being a caricature to a more interesting character.
