I've known about this book for awhile but have been holding off because I am not usually a huge sports romance person. However, I do like figure skating and this one has gotten such rave reviews I figured I'd give it a try. I loved a lot of things about this book! Of course I liked how hard Nate falls for Stassie and how caring he is. I liked that Stassie was in therapy and was a proponent of mental health care. I also really loved the relationship Stassie and Nate developed with each other and Stassie developed with Nate's friends. I loved Stassie and Nate skating together and liked their banter together. The only thing that didn't entirely work for me about this book was the pacing of the ending and the epilogue. I was fine with how things worked out but felt like there was a lot of build up and then things got resolved very quickly and easily. I also wasn't quite sure about some of the decisions in the epilogue. It felt a little odd for a new adult romance. One thing that really surprised me about this book was the spice level. I have heard repeatedly that this book has a pretty high spice level and it was interesting because there is a lot of sex on the page but it was all pretty vanilla. This didn't bother me but I was expecting more kink with how many people have talked about this being such a spicy book. I guess this is why I don't give books spice ratings because its just very subjective. I will say I think this is the only book I have read that his this much open door sex without any adding some kink. I wonder if that might be one thing that drew people to the book? I'll be interested to read more books by this author and see how the series evolves!

I have been looking forward to this one since I first read bombshell in December 2021! Imogen was usually one of my favorite parts of the other Hell's bells books and I was excited to see her take the spotlight! As I expected this one had me laughing from the first chapter. Poor Tommy just wants order but its just not in the cards for him (and maybe he likes chaos a little more than he thought he did). Watching him be exasperated was one of my favorite parts of this book. He so wants to protect Imogen and she just keeps doing dangerous things! I also loved Sarah Maclean's explosion sounds and Mary Jane Well's (the audiobook narrators) interpretation of them. I will say if you aren't listening to these on audio you are missing out! This one left me wanting more with a fun twist at the end. Can't wait for Duchesses book to learn more!

I was a little curious how Amy Barry was going to pull off the same premise and make it interesting but I shouldn't have doubted because she did! It was a pure delight watching Pip captivate Morgan. I love a book where the heroine has insecurities but we get to see the hero's perspective and he thinks shes perfection! I also enjoyed meeting Junebug's new accomplice AKA Pips grandmother. Every woman should have someone to tell them they are worth something and it's ok to enjoy life. While I didn't mind that the first book in this series was closed door I did enjoy that this one had a bit more spice! I'm yet again impressed by Amy Barry's ability to get inside a characters perspective and show us what they think and why they are wrong. Both Morgan and Pip learned about themselves during this story and we got to see how differently they see themselves from how everyone else sees them. I can't wait to read the next one when it comes out! A hero who thinks he is above falling in love vs Junebug. I'm just going to say right now. My money's on Junebug.

I grabbed this one because I always enjoy someone trying to set someone else up. It always causing chaos I can laugh at which makes me happy. However, what I didn't expect was how much I would love this one! The characters are incredible!! They are all really interesting and different. They aren't perfect but they also aren't bad people. I also loved reading about LA. I've never been there and now I feel I need to go immediately. Well probably not immediately but it sounds like a much more interesting place than I thought it was. I loved that a little bit of old hollywood made it into this book and wow do I wish I could have been at that party even though I hate parties. Finally, I loved how Phoebe went out of her way to help Samantha. It was a brave thing to do and something many people would not have done. I would love to read more about these characters. I would honestly read a book with any of these characters as the hero or heroine!

A wonderful magical story with a touch of romance

I adored The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches. I loved the magic in this book. It was a wonderful combination of practical and mischievous. I liked that it felt like magic itself had a personality. I also loved all the residents of Nowhere House. The girls were a great combination of sweet and sassy and Jamie was such a great grumpy hero. I liked that he had reasons to be reserved and not love people but he still loved the girls unconditionally. I also really enjoyed the issues witches were facing and Mika and Primrose's different ideas on how to handle them. I really love books where paranormal communities deal with differences of opinion just like any other community. The thing I loved the most about this book is while it has conflict and bad moments, it is overall a cozy and sweet book that leaves you smiling which is exactly what I want out of a book. It is also beautifully written. This one is definitely worth the recent hype and I'm sorry I didn't read it sooner. Can't wait to read more by Sangu Mandanna!

Is there anything better than a formerly annoying character turning out to be a total cinnamon roll who just doesn't know how to show people he cares? I loved watching Rory learn how to connect with people and Hazel learn to trust.

I adore fake dating! The forced proximity and potential for comedy are gold. In this case, it gave Hazel time to learn to trust Rory and him time to figure out how to have people in his life. I loved watching Hazel slowly realize how much Rory cared about her and the slow burn between them was really fun!

The arc with Hazel's ex was also really well handled. I liked getting to watch Hazel learn that nothing about that situation was about her. I also appreciated that everyone supported Hazel when things got difficult with him. It would have been easy to just use him to push them together but instead, he was a foil to Rory in a lot of ways.

This series is so good and I can't wait for the next book! I am pretty sure I can guess the couple from this book and I want their story so much! If you haven't read this series yet what are you waiting for?

🌶️🌶️🌶️ - There are a handful of spicy scenes, but it is a pretty slow burn and some are foreplay only.

🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 - I listened to the audio for this book and loved it! Connor Crais and Kit Swann do an amazing job with the duet narration. You may recognize Conner from If You Hate Me and Kit from House of Earth and Blood. I don't always think duet narration is necessary but in this case it made the audio shine.

I have heard great things about this book and the hype was totally accurate! I really enjoyed it!

Hallie is such a fun and unique character! I loved that she knew who she was even if she sometimes felt she was different. I think her feelings are pretty on-brand for an 18-year-old. I know I wasn't quite ready to fully be myself at 18. I also liked Lane and that even though he was an athlete he loved her for exactly who she was. The mutual pining was the cutest!

I am also a huge fan of spice lessons! I think they are always a fun trope for a story. I did have some mixed feelings about it in this case, because I felt like some of it wasn't completely realistic. She enjoyed things that I don't think most people would soon after losing their virginity and I do wish they had talked about consent to certain aspects of the spice a little more. That being said, I did really enjoy watching them realize their feelings and find how special sharing an intimate relationship with someone you care about can be.

Overall, I enjoyed this one and I think anyone who likes a new adult romance, sports romance, spice lessons and great characters will too! I'm really excited to read catching feelings!

🌶️🌶️🌶️ - This one has a handful of open-door spicy scenes. It is a bit of a slow burn with them waiting a bit to "go all the way".

🎧🎧🎧🎧 - I listened to the audiobook for this title and enjoyed it! Alex Kydd and Sarah McEwan did the narration. Both were new to me narrators but you may recognize Alex Kydd from Caught up by Liz Tomforde and Sarah McEwan from Saw You Swear by Megan Brandy. There were a few moments during the spicy scenes or when laughs were added that I felt like it was a bit overacted but it was a few minutes out of the whole audiobook.

As soon as Jamie said he couldn't have any responsibilities and immediately adopted a dog from the alley because it looked sad I was all in for this book! Nothing makes me giggly to myself like a very grumpy hero who is totally thrown off by a sunshiny heroine! Poor Jamie was so gone for Pippa and had no idea how to handle it!

Pippa's life got off track because of a bad relationship and she is forced to start over. I adored that Jamie saw Pippa's talent and helped her get her confidence back. Seeing her through Jamie's eyes was so much fun. I loved that he called her songbird.

I also really enjoyed Jamie's arc. He had no one to lean on for so long and I loved watching him learn to befriend his coworkers and learn to learn on Pippa. On a less fun for him note, I loved watching him slowly realize he wasn't going to be able to stay away from Pippa.

If you like sports romance, grumpy sunshine, slow burn or forced proximity you need to read this one! This was my first Stephanie Archer book but it won't be my last! I am obsessed with this series and I can't wait to read more.

🌶️🌶️🌶️ - This one was a slow burn but there were still a handful of open door scenes and a lot of sexual tension.

🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 - I listened to the audiobook version of this title and adored it! Tim Paige Savannah Peachwood did duet narration and they were both great! You may recognize Tim Paige from Icebreaker and Savannah Peachwood from Reckless by Elsie Silver.

Wasn't for me

This one wasn't for me. I picked it because I am a big fan of paranormal romance and I live in New Orleans so I like reading books set here! There wasn't really much romance in this one but I do enjoy urban fantasy as well and I was interested in a character who was both a vampire and a witch. One thing I did like about this book is that it had some new takes on paranormal characters. For example, vampires got made differently than any other book I've read. What didn't work for me was a lot of the characters felt like stereotypes. This may be because I was meeting them part way through the series but the snake shifter always making sex jokes and hitting on everyone didn't work for me. I also don't think there are senior residences in the french quarter. I appreciate that people want to set books in New Orleans because it is a wonderful city but the whole city isn't the french quarter.

I listened the the audiobook version of this book and I wasn't a fan of it. I could tell the narrator made a big effort to make the voices different but they ended up sounding like stereotypes.

I was provided this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Parnormal romance with cliffhanger ending

I picked this book because I love paranormal romance and fated mates. I even like rejected mates but I also like closure. This didn’t feel like a complete story to me. It was like clean up the cliffhanger from book 1 then start working on the cliffhanger ending to book 2 with a lot of sex in the middle. This made me feel like the author mostly wanted to manipulate me to keep reading. I don’t mind everything not being resolved but at least the conflict should be. Also I was confused what age these people were. They had parents and were being told what to do but also having graphic sex? If the premise is interesting to you be prepared to read all three books for a resolution.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book and thought the narrators did a great job! I definitely recommend the audiobook version of this book!

I was provided with a free copy of this audiobook on story origin in exchange for my free review. All opinions are my own.
