sharp mind?!?!?!?!
Revisado: 04-19-25
SHARP MIND?!?!?!?!?!? All the amazing skills Matt has, and you had him upgrade sharp mind?!?! are you freaking kidding me? cracked mana bolt? cracked bulwark? any of the manipulation skills? lesser regeneration? any of the healing skills? mana charge? mana slash? the one where his sword boomerangs? hail? cleanse? which would probably work as well, but on other things also? astors ice manipulation?!?!?! that would have been astor, but better. what kind of a boring upgrade is sharp mind. almost as boring as queen is a character.

mc is way too secretive to his allies
Revisado: 11-20-24
why would he hide so many things from his friends and allies. they already know enough to doom him. hes just being stubborn for no reason. like, why wouldn't he tell the people that know he is an unbound, and are presumably his friends, what they were walking into in the domain? like a heads up," hey its just a little primordial juice. no biggy." warn your dang friends Butthead! instead he let them go in blind and unaware of the possible dangers.

kind of a boring one
Revisado: 06-12-24
seemed like a lot of filler. hopefully the plot will thicken next book. also, dont you dare make Liz invent a potion that would be a miracle to make matt irrelevant. she is not a genius. her character doesn't need to be Mary sued so hard she makes the mc look like a chump. that happens a lot in this series already. we get it. you put it on a pedestal. the every girl in a series is just better trope is so annoying. and even hinting at the fact that a regular brained girl is going to invent something that not only rivals Matt's talent, but exceeds it, is too much.

flawed but fun as hell
Revisado: 06-06-24
love the books. I really do. but this guy does not know how to write the dynamic between men and women or social interpersonal relationships. its like it was written by what a guy on the spectrum who never socialized would imagine people acted around each other. tells bad joke: they all laughed at lame bad joke for minutes. but if you take it as a guy trying his best to imagine what life is like when you're in the real world, and just get over it, the book is really excellent. oh, and the narrator can be very over dramatic about the smallest things, lol. I have to reimagine the characters thinking things in better ways sometimes.

well worth a read but....
Revisado: 05-16-24
can you not let the guy win one fight? overcome one bad odds? does every conflict need to be wrapped up by a lucky event? let him be a bad ass sometimes. also, wt if midnight blue? there's no such thing as midnight blue. there is midnight black. which is too black to show any other color. its an oxymoron. its like saying the darkest light. or reddit green. the ocean purple. the dirt pink. other than those gripes, amazing book. amazing performance.

Jason arrives at a kingdom in peril and he's surprised to discover that it's not his job to save it. With the authorities fulfilling their responsibilities (for once), he looks forward to some quiet time to rest and recuperate. The locals might not find ceaseless monster onslaughts and an interdimensional invasion relaxing, but Jason has had a rough few years. He's doing his best to let go of his anger. While his team is caught up in duty, Jason has no shortage of people looking to interfere with his rest. Enemies—old and new—are circling, and even would-be allies are trouble.

everything but Jason is great
Revisado: 05-03-24
great story, great worldbuilding, great performance. as is the case with a lot of these internet series and litrpgs, the mc is just awful a lot of the time. his middle school politics, his teenage angst and his need to denigrate religion and authority. it all gets very old. he also whinged and whined A LOT. he always has, but this book in particular. but, its easy to overlook with the rest of the cast and story being amazing. so def worth a listen.

mostly good
Revisado: 03-23-24
pretty good story. the fight scenes and logic are infuriating dumb sometimes, though. saving a tool that could save your life? dumb. not using your health depletion attack to stop chick from healing you? dumb. its like the fight scenes are turn based or something. makes no sense.

"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

terrible mc
Revisado: 03-13-24
I never rooted for a goblin to win so badly. whiny as hell. and it seemed like they were setting her up to be a strategist, but she's dumb as a rock. why make her so unlikable? was it an accident? having her ry for the murderraperrobbing goblins? getting mad at her friend for helping get rid of them? making him apologize a million times? she has zero redeeming qualities. I know Mary sues are boring, but come on!!! don't go in the exact opposite direction, either.

pacifism at any cost
Revisado: 12-20-23
I cant tell you how many times I wanted someone to shut Julius up from his preaching and whining. "but, but, but, but, but." and the pacifism at any cost is a terrible ideaology. if only someone had just given Hitler better hugs, he wouldn't have killed all those jews. poor pol pot, if only we had juat let him continue to annihilate life. such a sophmoric world view. kill Bethesda! kill her! its ok. killing Hitler is okay. listening to Julius whine makes me want him to lose to Bethesda.

Just stop already with the ranting
Revisado: 12-05-23
I like 90% of the books. but 10% is the author preaching his ideaology through ranting monologues about how socialism is good, capitalism is bad, america is dumb, and conservatives are brainwashed. we get it. youre allowed your opinion, as much as I disagree with them. but there comes a time I would rather stop get bludgeoned over the head with ideaology. I just listened to 30 minutes of them comparing aristocracy in a made up world to how conservatives brainwash the poor dumbs of the world into voting for them. just stop already. or be more subtle. the opinions don't bother me as much as the sledge hammer you use to make your points. also, the whole just following orders thing? like the author has ever had to risk his life on anything besides getting diabetes from the next donut. just following orders or death is a valid argument. 99% of people aren't going to take death over following orders. and I cant blame them. and until you've been in that situation, you shouldn't either. my rant over.
