Historia
They call me a slut. Maybe I am. Sometimes I do things I despise. Sometimes men take without asking. But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan. With one obstacle. Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take. He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note. When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything. I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.

Historia
After the loss of his parents, young Jack Thatch first met Stella as a child - this cryptic little girl of eight with dark hair and darker eyes, sitting alone on a bench in the cemetery clutching her favorite book. The body of a man found in an alley, every inch of his flesh horribly burned, yet his clothing completely untouched. For Detective Faustino Brier, this wasn't the first, and he knew it wouldn't be the last. Isolated and locked away from the world in a shadowy lab, a little boy known only as Subject "D" waits, grows, learns. He's permitted to speak to no one.

just ok

I really wanted to like this more. Storyline is good but it's very long and drawn out. I still have 2 hrs to go (set at at 1.3 because it's really slow and dramatic) and it's been a struggle. It's kind of like Stephen King meets Heros (TV show) but not quite a exciting. This is the second book I've tried of this writer, DNF the other one, probably won't pick up another. Decent enough just to show for my liking.

Historia
Four young socialites have gone missing in the Chicago area. Two found dead, bearing the signature marks of a brutal serial killer. With the kind of tragedy that mars Nola Tensley's past, she should be concerned, but without a pot to piss in, all the struggling single mom cares about is making a normal life for her son. After all, she's clearly not the murderer's type. Or is she?

Not reading the 2nd part
Revisado: 03-31-25
The story was interesting enough, and narrators were good. A lot of people complained about MMC narrator but I thought he was fine, his female voice was meh. Maybe expected a deeper toned voice for the character but whatever. What made me just stop and want to give up on this series was the wine cork bit towards the end. Ugh, the writing of the spicy scene was weak. Winecorks are super small and pointy. I've read a lot of dark dark romance books, inanimate objects aren't new however, idk, I just couldn't get into that. plus, just some of the writing for the Sandman was just weak as well. He's trying to be dominating and sadistic but it's lame at best. It's almost comical. Life's too short to read/listen to weak books

Meh
Revisado: 02-28-25
Predictable, juvenile writing, overrated female narrator. Writer knows nothing of pilice procedures. even basic things as ha doing evidence. Just so bad. This was deceptive thinking that Joe Arden would be narrating more. Maxine isn't completely terrible, but Im just over her. she's so stiff when she reads. Doesn't come out sounding as natural. And no, I am not a competitor just trying to bash herself another review states on anyone who wasn't impressed.

Historia
I'm not so different from most people. Like everyone else, I have life goals. Goal #1: Become a real girl instead of this invisible ghost thing I currently am. Goal #2: Convince the four men I've been haunting for the past five years to pick me to be their new toy after goal one is complete. Goal #3: Figure out who/what I am and why I can't remember anything past the five years I've been haunting this quad. Goal #4: Eat popcorn. See? Perfectly normal. Sort of. Gotta start small, after all. It's not like anyone else is perfect either.

Decent light read
Revisado: 02-20-25
Unique storyline. I do like the funny sarcastic ghost-type MFC. Some parts dragged a little but banter made up for it. Definitely very mild as far as reverse heriem relationships go, but there is a major cliffhanger at the end. Maybe it gets spicier, but still in debates if I'm that interested to keep reading the series. Definitely not a strong enough story to use a credit on it.

So overrated
Revisado: 01-27-25
Just poor writing. This kid, 16yo, gets arrested because a girl went missing and been gone less than 48hrs. Everything is circumstantial at best. The psychologist who saw him when he was 9! broke confidentiality and her testimony should've been thrown out because you cannot diagnose a 9yo as a psychopath, or diagnose as anything in those lines that young. His lawyer... can fk off. He tells his parents (again, breaking confidentiality) that he didn't confess, but he thinks their son murdered this girl anyway?! So now he's annoyed his biased against him and should be disbarred.🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ *claws face off* again, my second and LAST book by this author. so predictable and unoriginal
