What is the meaning of life? It's a question every thoughtful person has pondered at one time or another. Indeed, it may be the biggest question of all-at once profound and universal, but also deeply personal. We want to understand the world in which we live, but we also want to understand how to make our own lives as meaningful as possible; to know not only why we're living, but that we're doing it with intention, purpose, and ethical commitment.

Thoughtful, Evenhanded, Precise, and Well Spoken
- De George en 03-12-14
Simply put: Insightful, thoughtful, well worth a listen. - Amazing
Revisado: 03-02-24
This is one of the best lectures that takes an informative approach to philosophy and the evolution of philosophy over time. I suspect that this is excellent for all beginners in the topics, and an excellent and interesting synthesis for those who are experienced. I don’t often provide detailed reviews, but this review is well earned.

We are exhausted. There's so much to do, and way too much to buy. Whether it's through late night TV ads, social media, or other sources of influence, we seem to be addicted to buying and then storing things. Sometimes we consume with no regret and other times we realize that we're doing more harm than good to our wallets and our homes. It's a constant cycle - one that many are longing to break. Who wants their hard-earned money to go toward something that soon ends up in a landfill?

Good Book Worth a Listen
Revisado: 01-15-22
Gives some good advice, and references some good stories, but ultimately was a bit slow and redundant.
The audiobook makes reference to many exercises that are available in print that aren’t included with the audio book.
All things considered it’s still worth a listen.

From an acclaimed Harvard professor and one of Time’s most influential people, this paradigm-shifting audiobook shows how almost everything we think we know about aging is wrong, offers a front-row seat to the amazing global effort to slow, stop, and reverse aging, and calls listeners to consider a future where aging can be treated.

Exceptional Opportunity for Critical Thinking and Introspection!
Revisado: 01-08-22
Lifespan was an incredible read.
I’m a 30 year old sustainability and fitness enthusiast.
This book provided a lot of the science behind opportunities that are in front of humanity. It also proposes questions that we should begin answering as humankind; especially, if we all anticipate to live longer healthier lives.
My review is of the audiobook. Reading the written version may be a struggle for some due to technical language (I would struggle; I’m not a biologist). The audio version moves through these dense parts with ease and makes excellent analogies that an amateur can understand.
The audiobook also includes some podcast like dialogue that kept the material light and called for reflection on the content. The images in the attached pdf helped to drive home some of the concepts as well.
The optimism of the author is truly contagious, and coming out of the read I feel inspired to make positive changes in my life for vitality, longevity, and sustainability.
Great read, highly recommend, and I look forward to similar content in coming years!
