Historia
To the rest of the world, he was the little boy who went missing on the Fourth of July. To me, he was everything. My heart hasn't been the same since he disappeared, but I've learned to build my life around that missing piece. Twenty-two years later, the last thing I expect is for that missing piece to come back.

Addicting!!!
Revisado: 06-07-22
This was my first book by this author and holy cow did she blow me away!!! This is for sure a top read for me for 2022. Her writing is amazing and so vivid that the characters and scenes completely came alive in my mind. It's a pretty lengthy book but didn't seem like it at all and I wanted more. There were plenty of twists to keep you on your toes and guessing until the very end. Sidney and Oliver are amazing together and compliment each other perfectly. Everybody should be so lucky to have a best friend like them.

This award-winning series from LJ Evans should come with a warning label: Do not listen unless you are prepared to invest your heart and soul. It's about finding yourself and your path on this wild ride called life while overcoming loss, heartbreaks, and illness. It's about family and hope and love. Each book can be listened to as a stand-alone novel but comes with spoilers for the first book in the series.

Album Series
Revisado: 09-20-21
I bought book 1 and listened to it and reviewed it before the box series was available so this review will not cover book 1.
Book 2-Pop Album
I absolutely LOVED this story! Mia and Derek are so perfect for each other and bring out the best in each other without even really trying. I LOVED every second of this book, it made me smile and laugh out loud at times. Ms. Evans writes an amazing story about not only love and learning to trust but of self reflection and self forgiveness. You need to be able to forgive yourself before you can truly let yourself love another person and I think she does a fantastic job of capturing that in this book. I hope you'll give this one a shot and let Mia and Derek take you on a roller coaster of a ride with them in Jake's camero. Get ready to fall in love.
Book 3-Rock Album
This is the third book in the My Life as an Album series but could be read as a complete standalone. There are appearances or at least the mention of previous characters in the other books but you don't have to know who they are before you read this book. I didn't love this one as much as the previous two but I did still enjoy it, and that may be because it was written in a slightly different format/style than the previous two...through letters and memories. I did like getting to know more about Seth. It also took me a little longer to get fully invested in Seth and PJ's story but once I was I didn't want to stop and wanted to know how it was going to end. If you've read the previous books in this series, you'll definitely want to read this one but if you haven't no worries it's still enjoyable. LJ is a great writer and has an amazing ability to tell a story and find song lyrics that are perfect for what's to come.
Book 4-Mixed Tape
OHMYGOODNESS...this book is EVERYTHING and is by and far my favorite of the series. I absolutely LOVE Lonnie and Wynn. These two have so much chemistry that you can feel it in the air around you...talk about a slow burn. I can not say enough good things about this book. It made me feel all the feels. I never wanted this one to end and I wanted so much for Lonnie, Wynn and Edie. The way Lonnie and Wynn jumped in to take care of Edie will totally and completely melt your heart. Obviously this book is part of a series, but could be read as a complete stand alone. There are overlapping characters but not necessary to have read the previous books.

Great Thriller & Lots of Twists
Revisado: 08-30-21
This is the first book I have read by this author and holy cows did she blow me away! I can't believe I waited so long to read this book. I felt it was an amazing thriller as well as love story. It kept me wanting to read more and turn the pages faster and faster as I had to know what was going to happen to Josie and who the bad guy was. It had me second guessing myself multiple times on what was going to happen or more likely who did it. This thriller is written with plenty of twists and turns and nail biting scenes. I can't wait to read the next book in this series and find out what's next and where everybody ends up. The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing the characters and the story to life.

When the director of a local mental health hospital is found murdered and mutilated, Homicide Detective Reed Davies is first on scene. What was done to the body is gruesome. Inexplicable. Dr. Elizabeth Nolan is somehow tangled up in the crime, and even while Reed must now question her possible involvement, he can’t help being drawn to the beautiful, enigmatic woman.

Plenty of Suspicion to Go Around
Revisado: 08-30-21
This is the second book in this series or the follow up to Where the Blames Lies, but I think you could read it as a standalone and wouldn't be completely lost but by reading Where the Blame Lies first would enhance this story. Ms. Sheridan did a fantastic job of keeping me interested in this story and making me want to find out what would happen next. I love a good mystery or suspense novel with a little romance mixed in and Ms. Sheridan does it really well in this two book duet. I really wish there were more books just because I love Josie and Zach and Reed and Liza...maybe a book about Erin? If you're looking for a good suspense novel check out this one and the previous one. I don't think you'll be disappointed as these are some of my favorites. They have very well developed characters and a storyline that will keep you guessing and suspecting everyone along the way. The narrators did a great job of bringing this story and the characters to life for me.

10 Stars!!!!
Revisado: 07-29-21
I LOVED this book so much!!! It has ALL the feels and made me cry twice, books don't usually do that, so you know this one really made me feel. I felt the characters were very well developed and the story line was mostly believable. The writing was so well done that I felt like I was right there in Blossom Grove with these characters, what an over all amazing story! My only complaint is the ending...I'm not so sure I'm okay with it...I mean the premises is fine but I want to know how. How did he get there? What happened to him ten years later? I could for sure use more details on that but otherwise no complaints on this one.

Ohmygosh.....so good!!!!!!
Revisado: 03-29-21
Ohmygosh...this is the second book in a row that I have read by Penelope Douglas and I can't believe I have waited so long to read her books! I loved every single word of this book and it made me feel so many things and I didn't want it to end. I want more Pike and more Jordan. I wouldn't even mind more Cole and would love some more Cam to see just what her "story" is. What an awesomely written book with a pretty believable plot line. The story flows so well and has just enough details that you can see it unfold like a movie but also doesn't have too many details that it makes the book drag on and on. The narrators made this book even more realistic and made it come alive even more for me.

In fifth grade my teacher set us up with pen pals from a different school. Thinking I was a girl, with a name like Misha, the other teacher paired me up with her student Ryen. My teacher, believing Ryen was a boy like me, agreed. It didn't take long for us to figure out the mistake. And in no time at all, we were arguing about everything. The best take-out pizza. Android vs. iPhone. Whether or not Eminem is the greatest rapper ever. For the next seven years, it was us. She's the only one who keeps me on track, talks me down, and accepts everything I am.

Mind Blown
Revisado: 03-11-21
I am completely blown away by this book. This is the first book I have read by this author and it certainly will not be the last. I was completely immersed in this story and couldn't wait to finish it because I had to know what was going to happen next and ultimately how it was going to end. Talk about a heck of a mind bending surprise at the end. I started out not really liking the main characters Ryen and Misha once the story started unfolding but by the end somehow you will love these two as if they were your best friends. I'm not sure how the author was able to twist this so much, but she did and I am completely hooked on her writing style and her ability to write such a great story that made me feel so many things. By reading the blurb you may think it's just a story about a couple of high school kids but it is so far from that you'll forget that these characters are still in high school because it's such a complexly weaved plot. I can't wait to read more by this author and hope she'll be able to make the rest of her books come alive for me and play out in my head like a movie! The narrators on this one did such an amazing job of bringing Ryen and Misha to life for me that I felt like I was actually there with them and watching it all unfold.

5 Powerful Heartbreaking Stars
Revisado: 02-23-21
I'm not even sure how to write a review for this book. It seems so personal and so thought provoking that I don't think any words can do it justice. The first half of this book was very hard to get into as it is very depressing and sad but as you move through the story you realize just how much pain Toby is in and that the events in his life have had a HUGE impact on him, so much so that everything is depressing to him. Kim does an amazing job of making you feel right along with Toby and even the other characters in this story, so much so that you'll be wanting to reach through the screen to give Toby a hug and tell him he's not alone because you are right here. This book truly is heartbreaking and even more so when you come to the realization that some people really do feel like this and live like this, that it is not just in the books. I dare you to read this book and not look at depression differently or reevaluate the way you have treated somebody in the past. Even though it may not seem like a huge thing, to some people who are already struggling that "thing" may be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back. This book is so powerful that I really do think every single person out there should read it, if for no other reason than to get some perspective on what your words and actions can mean to somebody else (both good and bad). The author's notes are also very powerful and I love the fact that she has them in there and gives you a look into her personal struggles as well. Well done Kim, well done! The narrators on this book did a fantastic job of conveying feelings and words and making you FEEL this story as well as hear it. Having the author read her own notes make this even more powerful in my opinion.

Laugh Out Loud Humor
Revisado: 02-23-21
I absolutely LOVE this series. Amy's writing is so spot on and her quick wit and humor is just what I need some days after a long day at work. I have loved this series since book 1 and I think they keep getting better and the humor is more laugh out loud with each book. I adore Dean and Nora's story and am hoping that there are more books in this series because I can't get enough of them. This series is by far one of my favorite rom-com series out there. I certainly think you could start with this book and read it as a stand alone, but not sure why you would want to because these characters are so lovable and they become your friends, so I do think starting at the beginning and reading in order would be most enjoyable for any reader! The narrators make this book even better and bring the characters and story to life so well you'll think you know these characters and that they're your friends.

Paranormal
Revisado: 02-01-21
WOW is about all I can say about this book. It took me a long time to decide if I liked this book or not and I'm still not positive how I completely feel about it. I'm not a big paranormal reader but I have read all of Colleen's books, so I had to read this one as well. It is very different from her usual books but the writing is still amazing. Her character development is great. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that happened in this book. If you're a loyal CoHo reader, then you have to read this book, if you've never read Colleen before and like a good paranormal story, this one is a great one to pick up! I'm always amazed by the authors that can write in multiple genres and still make it great. To me that takes immense talent. The narrators did a great job of bringing ALL the characters to life for me and really make this story great.
