Historia
Many LGBTQ people face overwhelming challenges in navigating faith, gender, and sexuality. Christian communities that uphold the traditional sexual ethic often unwittingly make the path more difficult through unexamined attitudes and practices. Drawing on her sociological training and her leadership in the Side B/Revoice conversation, Bridget Eileen Rivera, who founded the popular website Meditations of a Traveling Nun, speaks to the pain of LGBTQ Christians and helps churches develop a better pastoral approach.

A must read for all Christians
Revisado: 01-31-23
Rivera brings a human side to the conversation about LBGTQ rights and their role in the church community. Honest and heartbreaking it shows the impact Christianity has had on a group of people and calls us to do better.
It is not a theological debate. she is not making a case for or against gay marriage or theology of LBGTQ matters. Instead she brings people into the hard truth that the world is complex and difficult and the church can do a better job of loving part of it's family.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

It actually beats the hype
Revisado: 01-25-23
I couldn't turn it off. There is something so raw and honest in her story that was emboldened by her own narration. I truly believe this book will completely redefine her legacy. I highly recommend, even for someone who doesn't like memoirs.

I almost put it down in the beginning. but I'm so glad I didn't. One of the best thief/heist books I have ever read.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

It was Almost Amazing
Revisado: 07-29-21
The story was very compelling and the magic systems created were fantastic. The main character, however, was decently unlikable with a arrogant misogynistic vibe. While it could be off-putting, the story was enough to keep me listening!

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Outstanding in every way
Revisado: 02-19-21
Usually, with a book this long, I have a lot to say about excess. This book has nothing I would cut out! Outstanding in everyway, thought provoking, well paced, inventive, great characters. I have never read a fantasy book before that had so many crabs in it!😉
