Historia
In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child—not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power—the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.

Historia
When Dr. Louis Creed takes a new job and moves his family to the idyllic, rural town of Ludlow, Maine, this new beginning seems too good to be true. Yet despite Ludlow's tranquility, there's an undercurrent of danger that lingers...like the graveyard in the woods near the Creeds' home, where generations of children have buried their beloved pets.

Historia
Caleb Michaels is a 16-year-old champion running back. Other than that his life is pretty normal. But when Caleb starts experiencing mood swings that are out of the ordinary for even a teenager, his life moves beyond "typical". Caleb is an Atypical, an individual with enhanced abilities. Which sounds pretty cool except Caleb's ability is extreme empathy - he feels the emotions of everyone around him. Being an empath in high school would be hard enough, but Caleb's life becomes even more complicated when he keeps getting pulled into the emotional orbit of one of his classmates, Adam.

Historia
Everyone needs to love and be loved - even men. But to know love, men must be able to look at the ways that patriarchal culture keeps them from knowing themselves, from being in touch with their feelings, from loving. In The Will to Change, bell hooks gets to the heart of the matter and shows men how to express the emotions that are a fundamental part of who they are - whatever their age, marital status, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

This is a truly beautiful and fair handed treatment of the problems that face modern day feminists and masculine people. It's treatment of the patriarchy leaves very little wanting and helped me to evaluate my own part in all of it

In these deeply transporting pages, Arthur Riley reflects on the stories of her grandmother and father, and how they revealed to her an embodied, dignity-affirming spirituality, not only in what they believed but in the act of living itself.

Excellent book, terrible narration
Revisado: 01-11-22
Please save your money for a different version of this audiobook. The narrator clearly doesn't know what he is saying while he reads it unfortunately, so most of the message is not comprehensible in this version. I highly recommend finding a different version if at all possible. The ideas in this book are very relevant and and important, and profound if understood correctly.

Awareness awakens you to the truth that you possess everything you need right now to be happy and fulfilled. Happiness is your natural state. You don't need to do anything to acquire it; you only need to drop something. This audiobook shows you what that is. There is not a single person who ever gave time to being aware who’s quality of life didn't change. You see life differently because you are different. You respond to people and situations differently. You see things you have never seen before. Beautiful things. You're much more energetic, much more alive.

Revisado: 04-21-21
I am so impressed with this book! The work that Brian Muraresku did to research it is very evident in all of the incredible knowledge that he shares with us in this piece. This book has the potential to change the way that we look at religion, religious experience, and our understanding of history. I hope I can convince my friends to read this book, including you, the reader of this review. This book rocks.

A surprisingly profound reflection of life and the 12 steps
Revisado: 02-04-21
I’ll be honest, I didn’t think this witty Brit who I had a crush on in middle school would bring some of the most profound reflections and help in my 12 step program, but he really has. I recommend this book for those who are in the middle of a recovery program or haven’t started yet at all. I really enjoyed it. Thanks, Russell!
