Historia
Saving a country abandoned by the rest of the world has its benefits—international renown, the expansion of his guild, an invitation to the most prestigious hunter conference in the world—but perhaps the most unexpected bonus is a run-in with another Monarch who brings not-so-welcome tidings. If he’s to be believed, a war is coming that not even Jinwoo is strong enough to stop.

Good but short
Revisado: 04-28-25
The length makes it seem like it’s pulp fiction. It’s a decent story, but the books are a bit short at 7 hours.

The story is decent but I am not the audience it’s intended for. It seems a bit YA.

Historia
Reborn on Gryndor with the mythical trait [Divine Witness], Ajax swears to live a life of no regrets. This time, he will seize every opportunity, fight every monster, and plunder every treasure as he enjoys life to the fullest. If only it were that easy. Humans are considered one of the weakest sentient races, confined to their patch of land but that hasn't changed their nature as they fight amongst themselves forced to split their sources of power instead of unite for the greater whole

Great story, some very minor issues
Revisado: 04-22-25
The story was great.
Not sure if it was the narrator or the author, but there were some minor issues in the wording. I don’t recall the wording but one example was something like “in the beginning I liked the idea in the beginning”. There were a couple places where words were plural when they were talking about a single item.
this one is more on the narrator or the audio editor. The switches between characters were not very obvious. There was a slight break before the new character, the name, and another slight break for the story to continue. The breaks before the names needed to be slightly longer. It wasn’t clear there was a context switch going on in several cases. The breaks were about the same as the breaks between sentences. It was a while before I caught on.
I still recommend the book cause the story is engrossing. Those are minor issues that don’t detract significantly from the story.

Not much story
Revisado: 04-20-25
DNF
Good fight scenes but not much else to the book. Very little backstory, very little detail on characters. Just names and some motivations. I gave it a couple hours, but it’s starting to feel like a MOBA in book form. It’s PVE, but the characters can also PVP.

Historia
When Alice Verianna went to sleep, she was just another teen from the Denver suburbs. She definitely didn't expect to be transported to a magical alternate dimension, inhabited by monsters and presided over by a mysterious System. Here, people resemble RPG characters and everyone has access to their own status screens. Grappling with the mechanics of the elusive System isn't the only challenge Alice faces. It seems an underground organization known as the Society of Starry Eyes has taken a particular interest in other dimensions.

Not bad but not great
Revisado: 04-12-25
Good story that seems to bog down with introspection and analysis in the second half. I haven’t finished it yet, but it’s starting to bog down with all the wordy descriptions of why they are doing x or choosing y.
As others have noted only the MC is developed as a character. All others are really just background.
It’s well written and well read, but the second half gets slow. I’ll update this review it gets better/worse in the last 5 hours.

Not a good story
Revisado: 04-07-25
Got a few hours in and it’s not good. It seems like it is supposed to be YA, but it isn’t. The story wanders all over the place. The magic system could be interesting, but the author killed with too many words. It felt like a fan boy describing his favorite scene in a movie. It’s important to him, but nobody else cares.
The characters do things for unknown reasons. At one point one character says I can’t leave my post. A couple minutes later, he leaves his post. Wtf? Even then the scene is interrupted for something else.
I wanted to like it.

Ok at best
Revisado: 04-04-25
The female character seems to have a simpering voice. It’s hard for me to get past. The narrator did the same thing in another series and I stopped partway through cause I couldn’t handle the simpering voice. The laugh. She does it too much. I don’t know if it’s in the story or if she’s substituting it for the laugh text, but it gets old fast. Partly cause it sounds fake and partly cause it sounds like a 15 year old telling double entendre jokes. She’s trying too hard.
The story wasn’t bad per se, but it dragged. Half the book seems to be about cooking. It was a lot less I’m sure, but it was all over. I expected more fantasy elements, but it’s more sex fantasy. The story seems to be heading in a harem direction based on the direction the author is taking.
I was hoping for better.

Synopsis is a bit misleading
Revisado: 03-31-25
The synopsis suggests Callum is going to have more of a role than he does. Even though he is supposed to be a major driver for the actions throughout the story, he is only in two scenes until the end of the book. It feels like Callum got into the MC’s head. The MC and his leaders are driving a lot of the story based on a couple seemingly minor interactions. The leaders have their own reasons for allowing the actions to proceed, but it still feels like something that was made out to be bigger than it really is.
A couple spots in the story get too wordy and it drags a bit.
Overall not a bad book, but it could have been better. Not sure if it’s good enough to get the next in the series or if it will be more of the same.
Ending was a bit of a surprise, but not a cliffhanger, just a a point to make you desire getting the next book.

Good book, but it ended abruptly
Revisado: 03-29-25
Overall an interesting story. The ending was kind of abrupt like a longer book was cut in two. Didn’t follow traditional stories with slowing action prior to end.
