Fun, if sloppy

I enjoy the series and would recommend it, provided you can overlook the myriad typos and continuity errors. I’m inclined to think this was published without even a cursory attempt at proofreading.

Enjoyable Enough

The story is entertaining and the narration well-done, but the romance becomes tiresome well before the end of the book. I found myself skipping large portions of chapters because the MC spends minutes on end waking poetic about how attractive various characters are.

Instead of hearing more about the world and furthering the story, an over-large portion of the book is about the fantasies of a horny young woman. Perhaps the author would do well to work out their own ‘frustrations’ prior to writing?

Delightful and Interesting

This one grabbed my interest quite quickly (within the first few minutes) and held it throughout. The characters are well-written and the author has certainly grasped the knack of making you care about them. It’s been a while since I’ve come across an epic fantasy series with such great world-building that also makes me laugh regularly. While there are some less-interesting bits, there’s never a period where you get bogged-down because it’s so dull (at least I didn’t.)

Slow start, but worth it

As some others have noted, the story takes a bit to draw you in, but it does get there. While not a lighthearted story, it does have a lovely sense of humor.

The narrator’s voice is enjoyable and they do a good job of distinguishing between characters, but their grasp of the English language is tenuous, at best.

Very Enjoyable Listen

I neglected to give this series a listen for far too long. I was unimpressed with the description, but gave it a try because of my fondness for the author’s “Destiny’s Crucible” series and was pleasantly surprised. Give it a shot and the characters will grow on you, while the world-building is delightful.

Very Enjoyable, Narration Could Improve

The story is quite entertaining and I enjoyed it, but, as others have noted, the narrator doesn’t do as good a job differentiating between characters as you’d like. Yes, there’s lots of lesbian sex, which is delightfully written.

Relaxing and Enjoyable

This author’s books are some of my absolute favorites and never fail to delight. I highly recommend giving this a listen!
