Child at His Best! A Must Read for Reacher Fans!

Excellent but for narrator

I love the Lee Child Jack Reacher series. I just can’t listen to one more audible narration by Dick Hill. His old man Yankee accent does not in any way represent what I imagined the Jack Reacher described in the novels to sound like. The good news is I just skipped ahead in the series and noticed he stopped narrating for the last three in the series so that’s where I’m going to start again.

Incredible story and not as technical as some reviewer’s say

Just finished the book and one of my favorite reads in the last couple years. Some of the reviewers said it was highly technical and had too much narration around their descriptions. May just be personal but I did not find anything unnecessary in writing. Highly recommend.

Great story as usual, but tired of the old east coast narrator...

I love all the Jack Reacher books and the stories are incredible. Unfortunately for the audible books they keep using the same ancient Yankee as the narrator. He doesn’t sound at all what I would imagine Jack reacher to sound like (no accent from since he’s from no particular place) and his cracking old voice sound very weak (also unlike Jack Reacher). They used another narrator for several books early on in the series but it seems like dick hill is their go to now. Very unfortunate…

I am now at chapter 24 in the Kindle book but that equates to chapter 18 in the audiobook. For some reason the audiobook has about seven or eight chapters cut out as best I can tell. This should not be advertised as unabridged when it is obviously a bridge.

Great book but narrator could have been better

I really liked the book but the actor reading was difficult to understand. Almost like she had a marble in her mouth.
Also, for what it is worth, those that do not want same sex relationship romance scenes may want to know this has 2 (girls and guys). Just a heads up if that bothers you.
