Historia
Sami Kierce, a young college grad backpacking in Spain with friends, wakes up one morning, covered in blood. There’s a knife in his hand. Beside him, the body of his girlfriend. Anna. Dead. He doesn’t know what happened. His screams drown out his thoughts—and then he runs. Twenty-two years later, Kierce, now a private investigator, is a new father who’s working off his debts by doing low level surveillance jobs and teaching wannabe sleuths at a night school in New York City. One evening, he recognizes a familiar face at the back of the classroom. Anna.

Finally, a fast paced, witty thriller with the perfect amount of mystery at every turn!
Revisado: 04-17-25
I’ve been waiting for a book like this for years, it’s finally here. I am now hooked on this author. This is not for the casual reader you must follow along. Every chapter has a nugget information. The author and narrator are both excellent and don’t even allow the chancefor you to drift off or get bored with this read. A total five star!

Historia
Working alone as a private investigator is tough. Estranged from her PI family, Margo Angelhart does what she must to get by—including taking on sordid cases that pay the bills, even if she’d rather be helping those the justice system has failed. That is, until a cheating husband case she’s working intersects with her siblings’ corporate espionage investigation, forcing Margo to cooperate with the Angelhart firm. Now, as the siblings compare notes, it’s clear they need to work together before a white-collar crime escalates to murder.

Perfect amount of character development, crime, and mystery, an absolute five star!
Revisado: 04-01-25
First time reading this author, and I absolutely loved the way she organizes the storyline along with character development, very well written. Not predictable, keeps you guessing, definitely not cozy crime but no gory details. My only complaint would be a little bit too graphic on the sexual verbiage but it’s a very small amount.

Phenomenally written, totally unpredictable, keeps you guessing the whole way through, read from different perspectives of each character, great narration. Would absolutely recommend this book who likes a good mystery, but no blood and guts.

Who is Audrey Hoedemaker? It's a question her sister Maureen has heard more times than she can count, and she doesn't know what the short answer would be. Little sister, troubled teen, backpacker, musical theatre coach, con artist, childcare worker. Murderer. A tragic, traumatic childhood casts a long shadow on the Hoedemaker sisters. Maureen has worked hard to move beyond the violence of the past and build a good, honest life for herself. Audrey, however, just can't seem to do the same, careening from one state of chaos to another.

Brilliant writing, brilliant narration, the flow of this book is absolutely perfect. Character development is prime, every single chapter has a nugget of gold hidden inside the words that relates to the end of the story. A fabulous adventure around Australia with landscape description that makes you feel like you’re right there!

I don’t even remember hearing a story in between all of their personal jokes and intimate banter. I couldn’t even get through one episode. This is the worst style of podcasting I’ve ever heard.
