Not Her Best

I am a big fan of J A Jance, particularly the Joanna Brady and JP Beaumont series. I am not a particular fan of Ali Reynolds and I am struggling to get through this one. Just finally decided to give up on this book. Three hours left to go and I am not willing to give it any more of my time. I don’t know who did it…….and I don’t CARE who did it!

Definitely Not For Me!!

This book was one long, provocative, graphic sex act. I am no prude, but for me it had absolutely no redeeming qualities. Definitely should be listed in the Erotica genre.

A Perfectly Awful Book

This book has no redeeming qualities. I finished it, but I don’t know why. Characters were totally unlikeable and unbelievable. Will never purchase another book from this author.

I have no idea where all these great ratings come from. I found this book totally boring and finally gave up after getting halfway through. Borrowed it through Kindle Unlimited and very happy that I did not waste a credit on it.

A Great Book

I lived in Tehran from 1961 to 1963, so this book was of great interest to me. I was there during a time when the Shah allowed women to live as human beings. He had his faults, but the regime that followed him has sent the country back into the dark ages. Beautifully written, easy to follow……..an excellent use of a credit. Highly recommend!!

A Huge Disappointment

I discovered Frieda McFadden about three weeks ago and started binge reading her books……probably 7 or 8 to date. I couldn’t put them down and read most of them in 2 or 3 sittings. What a disappointment when I got to The Ex. The book is slow and tedious. The reader is completely misled throughout and the twists and turns at the end are so unbelievable and confusing that I found myself re-reading passages again and again. This book was not fun and I couldn’t wait for it to end. I’m not sure I even know now who did what. I will keep reading the authors books and hope that this one was an anomaly!

Totally Boring

I am 5 hours into this book and cannot finish. It just goes on and on with a total lack of any action. Too many characters with 0 relevance.

Lasted Less Than An Hour

An hour was all I could take of this book. The entire escape premise was entirely ridiculous. What happened to the Harlan Coben who used to write such great novels? I rarely return a book, but I didn’t even hesitate on this one.
