Historia
You might think a book with no pictures seems boring and serious. Except . . . here's how books work. Everything written on the page has to be said by the person reading it aloud. Even if the words say…. BLORK. Or BLUURF. Even if the words are a preposterous song about eating ants for breakfast, or just a list of astonishingly goofy sounds like BLAGGITY BLAGGITY and GLIBBITY GLOBBITY. Cleverly irreverent and irresistibly silly, The Book with No Pictures is one that kids will beg to hear again and again. (And parents will be happy to oblige.)

One of my favorite books, read by the author
Revisado: 08-06-18
I love that they offer both a male and female narration. This is one of my absolute favorite children’s stories. It is so much fun. It contains a lot of nonsense words, so I liked the chance to listen to the Audible version to see how Novak pronounces everything. He does a great narration job. It is a simple read-along performance.

I love this narration and think it is fantastic. There are music and sound effects which really add to the story. I am happy to own this.

Historia
More than 35 million Americans currently suffer from Hashimoto's - an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid gland and causes the body to attack its own cells. To alleviate the symptoms of this debilitating condition - including chronic cough, acid reflux, IBS, allergies, chronic pain, hair loss, brain fog, and forgetfulness - patients are often prescribed synthetic hormones that have numerous life-altering side effects. But there is a better way.

Great book, but narrated by Siri
Revisado: 05-18-17
I have not finished this book yet and am only an hour into it, so I gave five stars for the content because Izabella Wentz is usually exceptional and I can assume that this covers very helpful material. However, I am having a very difficult time listening to it. The narrator is the voice of Siri. It literally feels like I am having to listen to a computer generated book, even though it is an actual person. I just wished I would have realized this before purchasing so I wanted to make sure others were aware of this in case it might bother them too. I was annoyed while listening to Siri read a book and my husband walked in the room. I didn't say anything and he went nuts and made me turn it off. He told me he couldn't handle listening to it.
