Dan Hendricks is a man in need of a lifeline. A former CIA operative, he is now an agent for hire by foreign powers on the hunt for dangerous fugitives. It's a lethal world at the best of times, and Dan knows his number is almost up. His next job could be his last - and his next job is his biggest yet. Another home run for Tara Moss

This is a fun supernatural series...what I love is that it never drags...ever. Just fun, creative and very upbeat. While the actress in each book of the series is different, they're all upbeat and perfectly set the tone for each book. I was concerned about this, but they were all so similar you barely noticed.

Very creative story. Well written and intriguing; keeps you moving without stopping long enough to catch your breath. Never a dull moment. Great trilogy I would highly recommend to fans of supernatural themes. The actress was perfect; upbeat just like the story. I'll miss the series...

While I'm not into super natural books, I found this one delightful. Very light read with vampires, zombies and more than a touch of light humor. I don't care much for series books, but in this case I think I'll grab the next one. Definitely chick lit. Enjoy!

Love the Alaskan setting
Revisado: 07-13-14
Would you listen to Northern Lights again? Why?
I definitely would listen again... Great story but really loved the narrator. Excellent reading!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Northern Lights?
There were many memorable moments but I think my favorite was Nate's proposal.I The more she protested the more fixed on her he became... Until she was putty in his hands.
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene where Meg's dogs were being attacked by a bear was a favorite. She loved those dogs and the uncertainty of whether her or the dogs would survive was a real nail biter.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I seriously wish I had the time to listen in one sitting. It was so hard to turn it off since there was always something lurking right around the bend.
Any additional comments?
This narrator was terrific. I'm not always keen on the reader, but this was probably an all-time favorite. Very easy to listen to... His voice just enveloped me and I was instantly in the scene right alongside the action. I could literally feel the frost bite and tension.

He was a man who didn’t deserve a second chance... but he needed one. Emily and her husband, Sandy Portman, seemed to live a gracious if busy life in an old-world, Upper West Side apartment in the famous Dakota building. But one night on the way to meet Emily, Sandy dies in a tragic accident. The funeral isn't even over before Emily learns she is on the verge of being evicted from their apartment. But worse than the possibility of losing her home, Emily is stunned when she discovers that her marriage was made up of lies.

Fun and original
Revisado: 07-02-14
Would you listen to Emily and Einstein again? Why?
I might listen again in a few years because it was fun and motivational. I really liked how she picked herself up by the boot straps and took control. I also enjoyed the narration.
What did you like best about this story?
I liked so much in this book... The New York book industry setting, Emily taking up running, the swank New York apartment ... But mostly I loved the dog...her arrogant dead husband locked in a dog's body. And he just never gets over himself... Arrogant even with paws!
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene is when she runs the marathon, hits "the wall", collapses... Then at her very lowest she has a revelation and her life turns around!
Who was the most memorable character of Emily and Einstein and why?
This is a no-brainer... EINSTEIN! Einstein is her deceased husband stuck in a dog's body... Heaven's way of giving him a second chance to redeem himself. But being the arrogant man he was, it takes nothing short of a miracle to help him see the light. It was also fun to see the "man" transform mentally into a dog. Very clever!
Any additional comments?
The narration was great... And I really loved the male/female duo... I don't like when male narrators have to create women's voices... Too weird. And vice versa with women. This book lent itself perfectly to the male/female narrators.

Historia
Little else in life is as dangerous as fire jumping. Flying past towering pillars of smoke, parachuting down to the edge of an all-consuming blaze, shoveling and sawing for hours upon hours, days at a time, all to hold the line and push back against the raw power of Mother Nature. But there’s also little else as thrilling - at least to Rowan Tripp. The Missoula smoke jumpers are one of the most exclusive firefighting squads in the nation, and the job is in Rowan’s blood: her father is a legend in the field. She’s been fighting fires since her eighteenth birthday.

Five stars are not enough!
Revisado: 06-28-14
What made the experience of listening to Chasing Fire the most enjoyable?
The backdrop of jumping out of planes into forest fires was a new venue for me; coupled with murder, mayhem, lust and love you've got a winning formula. This was one of those books you simply cannot put down. Highly recommended to anyone that likes a good story with lots of intrigue.
What did you like best about this story?
Wow...if I had to pinpoint something in particular, I'd have to say the drama of fighting forest fires with an emphasis on those that jump from planes into the fires. That backdrop really added a unique element to an already fabulous story.
What about Rebecca Lowman’s performance did you like?
Rebecca did a great job of differentiating the characters. Also, her voice appealed to me and never got in the way of the story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I definitely would have if I'd had the luxury of doing so.
Any additional comments?
I was totally consumed by the drama of the fire jumpers. Fascinating reading. Nora did an amazing job weaving the entire story around this original backdrop.

Historia
Five days ago a rash of bizarre murders swept the country. Senseless. Brutal. Seemingly unconnected. A cop walked into a nursing home and unloaded his weapons on elderly and staff alike. A mass of school shootings. Prison riots of unprecedented brutality. Mind-boggling acts of violence in every state. Four Days Ago the murders increased ten-fold. Three days ago the President addressed the nation and begged for calm and peace. Two days ago the killers began to mobilize. Yesterday all the power went out. Tonight....

What did you love best about Run?
The mystery of why so many people had suddenly turned bad was fascinating.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Run?
The most memorable moment for me was when their little boy told them he "knows" who they are and why it's all happening.
Have you listened to any of Phil Gigante’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Have never heard the narrator that I'm aware.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
In the square near the end when all seems hopeless and husband and wife are reunited.

First Sight is a tale of daring to take risks, and losing control just enough to have a life, when the opportunity presents itself. When two very different worlds and strong-willed people collide, everything changes in an instant, as they confront the age-old question of whether to lay oneself bare and risk intimacy - or not. Are they brave enough to face what comes next? And will they do it together or apart?

What did you love best about First Sight?
I really enjoyed the career of the lead character, Timmie, as a fashion designer running a fashion industry empire. The pressure, the models, the cities, etc.
What was one of the most memorable moments of First Sight?
There were many memorable moments it's hard to pick one, but I think I'll go with her illness that leads her to meeting Jean Charles.
What three words best describe Arthur Morey’s performance?
Did not like
