Fun story, ignore misinformation

This was a fun story that I enjoyed. It was well read. If you know rodeo, bull riding, or bull fighting just ignore the misuse of terms, and situations, like who opens gates, backwards counts etc. There were a bunch of things that will rub your fur the wrong way. However, the story is a clean romance with some interesting suspense so pretend like you don’t know better and enjoy the ride. I liked the characters and the setting. I left wanting to know more about this town and these characters lives and was rooting for them the whole time. It’s worth ignoring the mistakes to enjoy the story. If you lasted past the first fifteen minutes of Yellowstone then you’ll have no issues here. I’m going for the next book in the series and I’d recommend this one to my friends who like this genre.

Great series!

I’m not very patient. I am ready for the next one. I hope it is in the works. Everything always gets tied up with a neat little bow, but it sure gets messy on the way to the verdict in these stories. I enjoy them very much.

Interesting plot

I’m an avid reader. I’ve begun to try to enjoy books even when the plot is predictable. This series has not forced me to test that developing skill. I have enjoyed all eleven books and am ready for more. The characters are well developed and very fun to get to know as well. I wish the main characters were real people as I would love to meet them at a dinner party. I think they would be excellent company. The icing on the cake is that there is nothing gratuitous in the writing. The included details push the plot forward and all have meaning at some point. While the story includes violence and crimes there are no scenes or language that were handled in a distasteful manner. This whole series is on my favorites list, and I highly recommend it to anyone who asks.

Virtual voice has a lisp?

I’m sure the story is fine. I just could not get past the narration. It was awful. I will avoid all virtual voice recordings from now on. I volunteer to record this story so we can enjoy it instead of wishing the narrator had a speech therapist. I normally love this kind of story but I just could not force myself to finish listening to it.

I listen to a lot of books and I also read actual books a lot. I enjoyed this because it was not formulaic. It was different in a really good way. I enjoyed it very much.

A fun romp

I usually listen to crime, war or dystopian books. Sometimes I like to lighten things up. This author has been a go to for me. Her books are funny and still witty. I’m not really a fan of romance and while the images she creates do tempt steaminess they are not off putting to me like most romantic stories. They are more realistic than idealistic and I like that very much. The characters are interesting and have good story arcs that are satisfying and not overly predictable. Overall this a a good read and I will keep going back to this author whenever I need a break from the heavy things I normally read.

Mind candy

The plot is not terribly complex and the characters are what you expect them to be. It is well written and a fun read. I catch myself rooting for the main characters and I’m not disappointed in the outcomes. I wish there was a real dog named Robo that lived with me. The narrator does a good job keeping the story flowing. I listen to audiobooks while driving or doing chores and this series is very enjoyable.

I’ve listened twice

I love this series. It’s the only one that I have listened to again and I think I liked it even better the second time. I hope he keeps adding to it. I really enjoy these characters and the whole story line.

Existential

I have really enjoyed every book in this series so far. This was definitely the outlier. Zoe’s Tale was a fun retelling of the story thus far from her perspective. It made sense and I enjoyed the details that were filled in from the first telling. This book unfortunately is a collection of “diary entries” that in no way add to the story line. It felt like a teacher gave an assignment to write something introspective and existentialist and this was the product. I was disappointed and found myself watching my progress in hopes it was over soon. I would have skipped it completely had I known that it was going nowhere. Read the rest of the series. Skip this one if you want. I wish I had.

I really did not enjoy this one at all. I am sure that if I went to this play I would have loved it. I did not like how it translated to an audio book. I found it frustrating because it seems like I was in the other room and was missing too much because I could not see what was going. On. It was well performed but I could not finish it because I found it so annoying.
