Solid expository, verse by verse, Biblical & Christ honoring teaching. I am especially enjoying his studies in Revelation.

Historia
Do you long for an intimate relationship with your Creator, but He seems elusive? Perhaps it is because something utterly essential is missing—the fear of the Lord. Don’t let this frighten you. Fearing God is very different than being afraid of God. It’s the key to everything.

Other than The Word of God...
Revisado: 12-25-24
no other book has convicted me, encouraged me, challenged me, increased my desire to pursue my God like this book. The Fear of God is the key. A holy fear that brings us to right relationship with our God & takes away all other fear. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom..." (Psalm 111:10). The key to right relationship with Him. And so much more.
I read/listen to many books & solid messages. I am very particular - the books MUST agree w Scripture. This most definitely does. It has helped me in my journey of daily surrender to my Lord, the One True God, immensely. To not read, listen to, "The Awe of God," would be a mistake. I plan on starting a group Bible study using it, have gifted it, & recommended it ...& will continue to. God's gift of the principle of holy fear before Him must not be missed. Purifying, solidifying, ...as we bow before our Holy God in every aspect of our lives. John Bevere gives all the glory to God & teaches solid scripture. Have your Bible ready to underline &/or a notebook/note app to write the verses down bc you will want to refer to them, memorize, & ingest them. I use the Audible bookmark tool if I can't stop & write so I can find those scriptures again. Be a Berean & search the scriptures & you will see. Be challenged to press on to the upward calling of God through Jesus Christ... To God be all the glory!

Not best Mitford novel
Revisado: 11-12-17
Too much of the story was the story within an old journal. Missed the usual bantering & conversations between Father Tim and Cynthia as well as others. Not the same depth in the relationships.
