Unexpected

Again this story has its twists & turns that cause unexpected events. This story with Colter being side tracked is good. Also the narrator chosen is good.

What’s to dislike? The narrative is great because she uses different voices for different characters. The story was unexpected. It flows great too.

Not just a story
Revisado: 03-13-25
I have enjoyed the book itself based on the twists & turns. The story wasn’t just written in one line. The extra plot added to the twists. The narrator did great with all the different characters & voices. I became interested in this story because of the show “Tracker.” It came out better than I thought.

The narrator & the story
Revisado: 02-12-25
Though a short story it kept me interested. After finding out about this author I have tried to find more of his books. This is my first book by this author. His descriptions are good that I can see what he’s talking about. The narrator doesn’t just read but adds emphasis to the story & characters.

Historia
Years ago, the day before Ellie moved from Georgia to California, she and her best friend, Nolan, sat beneath the Spanish moss of an ancient oak tree where they wrote letters to each other, and sealed them in a rusty old metal box. The plan was to return 11 years later and read them. But now, as that date arrives, much has changed. Ellie, bereft of the faith she grew up with, is a single mom living in a tired apartment trying to make ends meet. Sometimes she watches television to catch a glimpse of her old friend - Nolan, now an NBA star, whose terrible personal tragedies fueled his faith and athletic drive in equal measure.

Historia
Stocking stuffers like handknit scarves make the coziest of Christmas gifts—unless they're used as accessories for murder! When grinchy thefts steal the good cheer at a local nursing home, Siobhan O'Sullivan manages to identify one missing item before the tractor parade—a hideous shamrock scarf wrapped around a very dead body. The festivities go cold at Pans 'N' Pancakes the instant a diner dies while knitting a brilliant green scarf. Suspects pile up when frosty-tempered Carys Walnutt is found strangled by a handmade scarf auctioned at Arborville's tree-lighting ceremony.

Different narrator
Revisado: 07-22-24
It’s always a little hard to get used to a different narrator after hearing a louder one. There has been one narrator for the whole Irish Mystery series. The other reader did a good job of changing her voice with different characters & being a louder reader. She also had that Irish sound I got used to. The story itself was great as usual.

I have only limited myself to Anne of Green Gables. This story is so different. The narrator did a great job giving life to this wonderful story of a life changed. I kept wondering what was coming next.
