Love this series

I love this series so much it's one I relisten to over and over again. It has become my go to book to listen to whenever I want something I know I'll love through and through. She's a kick butt bad ass chick who overcomes every crappy and new thing thrown at her. She makes me want to work out and learn how to fight. To have that quiet confidence, to know you can defeat anyone who comes at you.....awesome. Yes, she curses quite a bit but it fits with her character and doesn't both me. I love her men, you really get to see each personality come through. Give this book a shot you'll soon collect all of them!

I surprisingly liked it

At first I didn't think I'd like the narrator but continued on because the storyline was interesting. After a while I actually really enjoyed how the narrator gave life to the characters. In the end I really enjoyed her enthusiasm. She gave the mfc a youthful edge that fit even though she just turned 40. The storyline stayed intriguing and I found her quips hilarious. I loved the way she talked to her "squatters". Overall it was a surprisingly great book and I can't wait to listen to the next book.

Surprisingly great!

This book was surprisingly great. I loved the world building and the fact that this could happen in our future. It made the reader feel immersed like we were in the VR system with him. Surprisingly I didn't mind it being a slow burn harem. I'm excited to see what else is possible.

It had depth and character development. Sexy parts were steamy 😜 and there was a good storyline. The flashbacks had me guessing how it was going to end the whole book. Destiny!

Too depressing for too long

2 1/2-3 ☆'s I could've worked with this story line, of so many crazy things happening to her against her will, if her mistreatment had been turned around sooner. There's only 2 hours left of the book and it's only now starting to get better. I just spent hours depressed and outraged by what happens to her and I don't know if I can handle anymore. I may have to return it before finishing it even though I've already invested so much time into this book. I just spent my entire morning and afternoon torn up and on the verge of tears, I'm just not sure if I can handle one more bad thing happening.
The sex scenes are pretty good but it's all just physical. I hate that it's just her wolf instincts that allow the sex scenes to happen because she's shut out her mind and soul due to her mistreatment/debasement. I wish she wasn't so ruled by her wolf and instincts. She does try to fight it but it's only one time (out of the many) that she actually seems torn, where her body does one thing but her eyes and face say another. This could've been great if only 3/4 of the book wasn't spent in a negative headspace. I read/listen to get away not be brought down.

3 1/2☆'s love this series but has...flaws

I love this book series but it gets aggravating at times. The retelling of events and character descriptions are tedious and repetitive among the other books. It also really annoys me how the authors bias opinion on a particular religion shines through so much that it easily offends and seems hypocritical. This is one of ny favorite series but over all of the books they continuously bash "the people of faith" and Christianity as a religion without mentioning that there are some who don't act so horribly. They talk about how people of faith bash all other religions as they do the exact same thing throughout these books. Yes, there are many who have given Christians a bad name but not all are hypocritical, judgemental pricks. If they had made Zoeys inner dialog at least recognize that not all Christians or people of faith are bad then readers like me wouldn't be so offended as to skip many parts of the book. The only other religious person they portray as good is one nun later in the series. Other then that the book is alright, full of teenage angst and bad decisions. The story line does get better throughout the series.

Surprisingly great👍

Had a good storyline, and a strong female character who has been through some stuff. There was plenty of sexual tension (in the good way) without them actually having sex. Yes some scenes (parts of them) were repeated but it was in someone else's perspective so I didn't find it annoying but rather insightful. It gave a more round picture of the scene and why some reacted the way they did. This book was really good, I binged it and finished within the same day. I'm so interested in where they are going with the story that I'm going to get the actual book since it's not out on audible yet.
