Historia
In September 1960, John Steinbeck and his poodle, Charley, embarked on a journey across America, from small towns to growing cities to glorious wilderness oases. Travels with Charley is animated by Steinbeck’s attention to the specific details of the natural world and his sense of how the lives of people are intimately connected to the rhythms of nature—to weather, geography, the cycles of the seasons. His keen ear for the transactions among people is evident, too, as he records the interests and obsessions that preoccupy the Americans he encounters along the way.

Revisado: 12-08-21
Well written and filled with solid merit. So many sacrifices were taken by so many in the world war 2 both home and a way. Code Girls is a testament to the fight at home which is often overlooked.

For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

Real and Raw
Revisado: 08-09-21
I have read my share of self help and motivational books. David's story is incomparable. His story reminds of the feeling I get when I read about civil war battles.
You will walk away from this book and will look at yourself in the mirror. That take away by itself is greater than any covey habit book you could ever read.

The Title Says it All
Revisado: 05-23-21
I learned a bit more about Lincoln Everytime I hear his voice. He was a bit of a conflicted fellow and some of these writings will come across as racist but I think he was a man conflicted, caught in politics and trying to remain true to his own morality. It is hard being a person who is true to yourself and to all those around you.
It is so easy to Judge and times were so different back then. I still think he was a man of terrific character regardless of what he said. I get the feeling if I had a chance to speak with him today he would listen to what I had to say. I don't know where I am going with this review but if you read this book you will understand.
Being an American is tough work. Abraham really put his time in and his neck on the line.

An End to A Great Young Adult Series
Revisado: 05-23-21
I really enjoyed this series and this final installment. A lot of loose ends were tied together nicely and I was extremely glad that it was done well. I would rate this a 10 for a young adult fantasy series. I wish I found it when I was younger.
There was a chapter however where the writer makes the main character act like a child asking "why" a million times when the answers were pretty stark. With all of the growth of the main character had gone through I had thought we were past silly obvious questions. As an adult reader it turned me off and it felt like lazy convenient writing.
That scene aside, Inheritance is a well written book and Series. This final installment had plenty of action and nicely tied twists that kept me listening well into the last chapter.
As with book three didn't need the interview at the end and I would skip it

Clever Second Installment
Revisado: 05-23-21
For a Sequel I was very impressed. He kept the adventure going and it made me glad that we haven't got too nitty and gritty with world building with this Installment. There was plenty of travel and adventure to keep this ball rolling and a well paced book that keeps the reader turning the pages.

A Captivating 3rd installment
Revisado: 05-23-21
For a young adult book this 3rd installment holds up and adds decent depth the inheritance series. Characters and the world are fleshed out and it was a worthwhile read.
The interview at the end has me thinking that Mr. Paolini is a bit full of himself. He has a right being that he wrote these books at such a young age. Either way just wish he didnt give me a chance to judge him personally with an interview.

A Well "Painted" Book
Revisado: 05-23-21
This is the second time I read this book and have seen the movie so long ago that I forgot what it was like. For a second time read, I was very pleased with the way the writer described scenes. The detail was fantastic and the symbolism and characterization the scenes was brilliantly done. Emotions come across as real and personable.
Sometimes the story becomes a bit melodramatic for my tatses but the setup was proper especially with the attention to the settings and the character conflicts. It really created a great drama piece.

U.S.S. Navy Nerd Firing for Effect
Revisado: 05-23-21
I enjoy Tom Clancy and this book is for those who are into the hypothetical and are full fledge Navy/Air Force nerds. Still enjoyed it but at times the fanboy really comes out and it's just too much. Still well performed and an easy enough book to follow with some really thrilling moments.
