I lost time listening to this story.
Revisado: 05-23-18
Great story, really interesting and flawed characters. Hard Sci fi! The story moves fast and look forward to the following books. The performance was a bit inconsistent at the beginning but ended strong. Overall well worth the 11 hours frankly it went fast felt more like 2 hours listening. That's a very good sign.

What would have made Frankenstein, Book One: Prodigal Son better?
Better writing and Narrator
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Nope couldn't get through the book and had to stop...
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of John Bedford Lloyd?
No
What character would you cut from Frankenstein, Book One: Prodigal Son?
All of them I mean it was really bad not what I expect from the author. Needless to say I wont be reading the rest of the series. Sad really I have enjoyed his other series so much I thought I would give this one a try.

Historia
If the past is prologue, then George R. R. Martin's masterwork - the most inventive and entertaining fantasy saga of our time - warrants one hell of an introduction. At long last, it has arrived with The World of Ice & Fire. This volume is a comprehensive history of the Seven Kingdoms, providing vividly constructed accounts of the epic battles, bitter rivalries, and daring rebellions that lead to the events of A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO's Game of Thrones.

In her first novel since 2002, Nebula and Hugo award-winning author Connie Willis returns with a stunning, enormously entertaining novel of time travel, war, and the deeds - great and small - of ordinary people who shape history. In the hands of this acclaimed storyteller, the past and future collideand the result is at once intriguing, elusive, and frightening.

Not as good as the second book
Revisado: 05-05-13
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It was OK just as I didn't think Dog as good as Doomsday. Blackout was a step down from Dog.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The Blitz of London. I am not looking for audio books on the Blitz as I am writing.
Which character – as performed by Katherine Kellgren and Connie Willis – was your favorite?
None again they all where quite whiny. I missed not having Doneworthy in it.
Do you think Blackout needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
It has one. I will listen to it because I am this deep into the stories I can hope it gets better.
Any additional comments?
I really liked the time travelers universe she has created. I would love to see a story backing in 2064 where a divergence did happen and the repair/alteration to the time line dealt with.
