Where does Under The Blue Flag rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book was addictive: it kept me tuned in through to the end.

What did you like best about this story?

Having been there for a week-long visit to help with animal agriculture, I found myself back in Pristina while listening the description: the smell, the colors, the dust...

What does Philip Kearney bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The fact that the author himself, he who lived the experience, reads the book putting the tones where he meant them to be, makes it fascinating to listen.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wish I had listened to this book before I visited Kosovo. Even though more than 10 years have past after Mr. Kearney experiences, and even many more from the actual events that occurred during the secession war, I think it would have been illuminating to take his accounts into consideration. It would have been extremely helpful to understand the culture and thought processes of Kosovans!

Comprehensive quick description of the Incas

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This program is interesting and the content is reasonably comprehensive, although because of its breadth, details were only briefly presented, which in turn, leads me to the next aspect: books to compare.

What other book might you compare The Modern Scholar to and why?

Rather than compare, I would suggest people listen to the "Last Days of the Incas", before taking this lecture. That book is more paced and the author takes its time describing details more thoroughly. It will help with understanding Professor's D'Altroy's lecture.
