Out in Time explores the life experiences of three generations of gay men - the Stonewall, AIDS, and Queer generations - arguing that while there are generational differences in the lived experiences of young gay men, each one confronts its own unique historical events, realities, and socio-political conditions, there are consistencies across time that define and unify the identity formation of gay men.

I was so greatly disappointed with this book. it focuses solely on the cis gay man it over look contributions from anywhere else in the LGBT community. We have enough written about the G in the LGBT that this book in completely redundant. Please don't waist your time with this and great yourself a more diverse history of our community or even to research yourself.

opened my eyes
Revisado: 08-27-23
I had always questions things about myself. I liked crossdressing, doing my hair up and putting on fingernails polish as a teen. I just thought I was a crossdresser or something. This book opened my eyes to the fact that there may have been more to it. after a couple of years of self exploration I have come to except who I am. I only wish I could think the author in person.
Beyond that, it is great read, colorful characters and wonder filled stories. Yes I mean wonder filled. ;)

Revisado: 07-05-22
if you don't know the fair of living or growing up in the time of Anita Bryant this is a book you need to read. I grew up gay in a religious house and this book hits the mark in so many ways. It brought back so much pain, but left me with hope seeing how far we have come

James thought he would be just another adventurer in the world’s most anticipated dungeon delving VRMMORPG. But when he logs in, he soon finds out that he won’t be diving the dungeon - he will be creating it. Pretty awesome right? At least that was what he thought when he boldly chose "Random" as his dungeon type....

Worth the read
Revisado: 07-05-22
I really had my doubts about this book. did not match up to other books I had read from this author because I listened to a lot of his humorous ones. I really had my doubts within the first few chapters but pushed through and was rewarded for it. I don't wish to give too many spoilers but if you're looking for a wonderful gay romance then give this book a try.

Historia
Rafe is a normal teenager from Colorado. He's been out since 8th grade, accepted by his peers & championed by his progressive parents. And while that's important, all Rafe really wants is to be a regular guy. To have his sexuality be a part of who he is, but not the headline, every single time. So when Rafe transfers to an all-boys' boarding school in New England, he decides to keep his sexuality a secret - not so much going back in the closet as starting over with a clean slate.

It asked and answered a lot of questions of what it is like being gay, how we see ourselves, how we think others see us and how they may really see us.

Historia
Known as The Mayor of Castro Street even before he was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, Harvey Milk's personal life, public career, and final assassination reflect the dramatic emergence of the gay community as a political power in America. It is a story full of personal tragedies and political intrigues, assassinations at City Hall, massive riots in the streets, the miscarriage of justice, and the consolidation of gay power and gay hope.

Tears
Revisado: 07-05-21
I write this through the tears that blurred my vision. Why? Because I am was a child of the 1980's growing up gay and fearing for my safety. How much worse would it have been if Harvey Milk did not make the stand he did. I grow up knowing of the man, but not about the man. This book showed not just his good but ugly side making him more human and less ledgon and there forth more relatable. thank you for this book. Thank you Harvey for the hope.

How can you write a review of this book without spoiling it? The depth of Historical and geek knowledge collected in this book alone is worth the read. The ending was a bit Bobvers and if you don't know what I mean I have another great book series for you.
And thank you again to Wil Wheaton who once again bring the book to life. Love you man. No seriously I love you. You are my first TV crush from Star Trek and conformation I was gay.
All in all a must have for your collection.

Historia
Felix Love has never been in love — and, yes, he’s painfully aware of the irony. He desperately wants to know what it’s like and why it seems so easy for everyone but him to find someone. What’s worse is that, even though he is proud of his identity, Felix also secretly fears that he’s one marginalization too many — Black, queer, and transgender — to ever get his own happily-ever-after.

The time and reason was right
Revisado: 11-12-20
I have been told that people will come into your life for a time or season when you need them. The same is true for book. I have been questioning who I am and my identity for some time now and only grab the book because it was on sale and an LGBT book. I didn't know it was going to hit home with the trans part so much for me. I grown up in the 80's and 90's with the struggle to discover how I was in a racist town and never he and of trans until much later in life so I just thought I was a very feminine gay male. Had I had a book like this then....
Even if you are a straight man or female I want you to read this. Please understand the struggle we fight with both internally and extremely.
To the author...thank you.
