Historia
Legendary sleuth V.I. Warshawski returns to the Windy City to save an old friend’s nephew from a murder arrest. The case involves a stolen artifact that could implicate a shadowy network of international criminals. As V.I. investigates, the detective soon finds herself tangling with the Russian mob, ISIS backers, and a shady network of stock scams and stolen art. In Shell Game, nothing and no one are what they seem, except for the detective herself, who loses sleep, money, and blood, but remains indomitable in her quest for justice.

I love this series!
Revisado: 10-21-18
Another excellent outing with V.I., full of thoughtful interactions and characters. Susan Ericksen is a decent narrator, and I have come to think of her as V.I.'s voice, but she does need to educate herself regarding the pronunciation of Chicagoland street names and places, as she gets the vast majority of them completely wrong!

Historia
It’s not every day that you’re summoned to the Italian countryside on business, so when archaeologist Angelo Morelli asks for Ruth Galloway’s help identifying bones found in the tiny hilltop town of Fontana Liri, she jumps at the chance to go, bringing her daughter along with her for a working vacation. Upon arriving, she begins to hear murmurs of Fontana Liri’s strong resistance movement during World War II and senses the townspeople are dancing around a deeply buried secret. But how could that be connected to the ancient remains she’s been studying?

Good Entry in Series
Revisado: 05-18-18
I enjoy this series very much. and this entry is no different. But the decision to change the audio on phone calls within the book, i.e. making them sound as if they are down a well, is utterly idiotic.

Historia
Agatha Award-winning author Rhys Bowen’s charming combination of intrigue and romance blended with a touch of humor shines when performed by Audible Hall of Fame narrator Katherine Kellgren, whose deft range and impeccable accent work make it hard to believe this isn’t a multicast performance.

Stellar Opener to a Wonderful Series
Revisado: 04-13-18
What made the experience of listening to Her Royal Spyness the most enjoyable?
Without any doubt, the performance of the (now) late Katherine Kellgren--she does every British accent (as well as others) up and down the classes with humor and precision.
Which character – as performed by Katherine Kellgren – was your favorite?
Georgie herself.
Any additional comments?
Although I cannot imagine experiencing this series in any other form, it will be tremendously difficult to acclimate to a new narrator with book 12. Katherine Kellgren will be be very much missed.
