Great material but an editor really needed to get in there and slash repetition, minimize some of the unrelated material. Still good info but hard to keep listening

This transcendent story follows four college friends who move to New York City, buoyed by ambition: Willem, an aspiring actor; JB, an artist; Malcolm, an architect; and, at the center, Jude, a withdrawn, brilliant attorney haunted by an unspeakable past. Hard to recommend
Revisado: 12-10-18
This is a hard book to recommend. It was very taxing to work through. The main character is extremely emotionally damaged and very hard to be patient and understanding with. The character of Jude has been through more than any single individual would ever endure. I hope his character is a composite. The friendships among the group are unlikely but supportive. It’s a very long listen to a very difficult story

Surprisingly good

I don’t read much war story but this one is different. It does not glorify war or warriors but humanizes the ugly process of war. I’d say read it. The narrator is fabulous

Lin-Manuel Miranda's groundbreaking musical Hamilton is as revolutionary as its subject: the poor kid from the Caribbean who fought the British, defended the Constitution, and helped to found the United States. Fusing hip-hop, pop, R&B, and the best traditions of theater, this once-in-a-generation show broadens the sound of Broadway, reveals the storytelling power of rap, and claims our country's origins for a diverse new generation.
