Historia
The Reformation did not happen instantaneously; it was something God patiently arranged over a number of years. As you listen to this book, you will learn how the Lord used some people to plant the seeds of church reform long before October 31, 1517, when Martin Luther published his 95 theses. Luther's story is well-known; we trust you will find it interesting and instructive to hear about him and about 40 others (John Knox, Peter Martyr Vermigli, Zacharias Ursinus, Willem Teellinck, etc.) who contributed to the Reformation.

Great way to inspire younger people to yearn for a stronger faith
Revisado: 04-11-25
I liked that it was simply made, so that way you can teach kids more clearly about the reformers. I also found it a great help for myself to recognize and remember that these men and women held God in such high regard even though some of them didn’t even have access to the full bible. Today it is extremely easy to access the while scripture because of these men, and the great work God has done in them. It should inspire Christians today to hold God in a much higher view today and that they should boldly proclaim his truth. They ought to treat life like the spiritual war that it is and pick up their sword(God’s Word) and stand and fight for the truth.

Historia
The year that changed everything for the Beatles was 1966 - the year of their last concert and of Revolver, their first album created to be listened to rather than performed. This was the year the Beatles risked their popularity by retiring from live performances, recording songs that explored alternative states of consciousness, experimenting with avant-garde ideas, and speaking their minds on issues of politics, war, and religion. Music journalist and Beatles expert Steve Turner investigates the enormous changes that took place in the Beatles' lives and work during 1966.

Not Just a Beatles Journey
Revisado: 11-01-24
Turner is a master at drawing in numerous strands of influences on and of the Beatles from and to so many areas of culture, that this sentence represents the opposite of what he actually does! He is elegant, parsimonious, but penetrating and analytical at the same time. I have too many thoughts to tie them all down now, but as a Beatles fan I feel I understand them better musically and as men. The reader (so sorry I don’t have his name at hand) was able to approximate the way each Beatle spoke but not an exact impression. This allowed my mind to fill in the rest in terms of how they spoke and what they look like. One of the more insightful books on the history, the music and the philosophy which gave birth to a revolution of pop and rock music.

Even the Most Cursory Hearing Will Be Health to Your Soul
Revisado: 09-19-24
For true Christians who have been regenerated by God so as to become followers of Christ, all in the power of the Holy Spirit, this work will challenge you in a way rare among preachers and writers of evangelical and Reformed works of today. And in that challenge Flavel adds two more things: 1.) Eminently practical uses which will encourage you in this discipline, and 2.) Wonderfully warm and pastoral comfort to sensitive consciences. Though the thoroughness of the scriptural analysis of the heart and the depth of practical application may initially feel like trying to drink water from a fire hose, hang in there. Otherwise you will miss out on a joyful and assuring and strong walk with the Lord. As Flavel himself notes, “Heart work is hard work,” but nothing in our lives as Christians is more important than our hearts’ communion with God. If you don’t at a bare minimum have a daily exposure to Scripture and prayer, then you cannot benefit from what this book is aiming at. But now is as good a time as any to start and so you should! For there are untapped riches and medicine for wounded and downcast souls in hear! Tolle, lege both the scriptures and this book!

Balanced but Honest and Truthful
Revisado: 09-13-24
Megan Basham does a reporters job in top form. Her “op. ed.” Editorialist mind is informed by her dogged research. And all this is done as a real, true regenerate Christian, who wonders whether she herself would’ve come to the faith if the truth of Scripture in regard to her own sin and her responsibility for it had never confronted her. I will say no more other than it’s well worth your time to travel the lines of her brave and yet, in one sense (the best sense), matter-of-fact, Scripture-informed common sense as a regular Christian in the pew takes you “post tenebras lux.”

Historia
COVID-19 was used to launch the worst tyranny in American history, which we’re still facing even now. It was also the worst oppression in global history since the Third Reich. Just as that evil required a reckoning at Nuremberg, this one does as well. In this Nuremberg 2.0, we call witnesses that our elected representatives and law enforcement agents need to hear from in order to know the full extent of the evil and who is responsible for it—so that this never happens again.

Revisado: 02-21-23
When the blatant lies of “safe and effective” and 100% efficacy… 95% efficacy… 85… 65… 55… 35… 0% efficacy… And then you have all the VAERS reports the clotting, the myocarditis, the pericarditis, the doubling down on boosters, the President speaking to and about Americans in a way I’ve never heard a President do…ever (Hopefully we’re losing our patience with him and will show it the next time we’re at the ballot box with him on the ticket… I did my sentences long like this to illustrate just a small, small modicum of what we’ve really been through with the worst people ever leading this nation’s government, corporations, medical institutions, etc, we should demand more of our leaders. Oh, one more thing: insurance companies and excess mortality rates in the past two years coinciding with the magic potions put out by our nation’s leading alchemy corporations… We could go on and on… Hold them politically and legally responsible!

Stupid Fan-Fic!
Revisado: 12-06-21
More than halfway through had to stop… Barely any investigation on the part of Holmes… Watson is presented as a sex-crazed man without integrity. Absolutely stupid fan fiction worthy only of watt pad—granted the vocabulary and syntax are decidedly higher. Other authors building Doyle’s corpus have done far better than this.
