The male narrator felt it was necessary to take a deep breath before every sentence, very amateur. I couldn't ignore it so I finished the book on Kindle U.

This book was grossly pathetic. The guy isn't fully putting everything into the relationship for months and actually expects her to put up with that until he's ready, she decides she doesn't want to keep living her life as 10th best and decides to break up with him and the author is pretty much making it seem like she's wrong for doing so. It's ridiculous. They want us to be sympathetic towards the guy but I just can't bring myself to do so. I get sick and tired of reading books like this and the fact that is usually a woman who's writing these books low key disgusts me.

Monologue monologue monologue ugh

Overall the story was good. But there was a lot of unnecessary detail descriptions and a lot of internal monologuing, my god. Also I was a little disappointed because this turned out to be another book where the h claims that they aren't going to be taking advantage of, and or stand up for themselves and then next thing you know they're neither standing up for themselves or not allowing others to take advantage of them. And of course the H was a complete piece of 💩. It really gets annoying when authors write books like this, especially female authors like wth. The performances were great, like I said story wise it was good.

Not a cliffhanger but pretty close.

I'm going to keep this simple. The performances are great. But the "hero" and his clan are really unlikable, and unreasonable which frustrated me throughout this book. I was able to skim through a lot of it without missing much in each chapter. Overall the book is good but I would definitely wait till book two comes out to get this book.

Wayyy too much internal monologue.

The heroin was constantly in her head. There is a speech for everything first 10 or so chapters dragged along because the story was barely moving forward. There needs to be a balance.

What's the hurry?

Didn't finish the book. I was able to get through 15 chapters though. It just felt a bit rushed to me. The character development was eh. In my opinion it felt as though the whole relationship was pushed onto me to accept. It wasn't believable. The dialogue between the characters seemed exaggerated and not because of the narration but because of the way the book is written. I liked the narrator. But to me, It seemed as though the narrator never got comfortable with the book if you know what I mean. And again I don't think it's because of the narrator herself, but because the flow of the book is a bit wonky.
