Sarah has done it again. I’m a fan of her story telling and relatable character development. I hope she writes a dozen more series!

Historia
Less than 50,000 years ago mankind had no art, no religion, no sophisticated symbolism, no innovative thinking. Then, in a dramatic and electrifying change, described by scientists as "the greatest riddle in human history," all the skills and qualities that we value most highly in ourselves appeared already fully formed, as though bestowed on us by hidden powers. In Visionary, Graham Hancock sets out to investigate this mysterious "before-and-after moment" and to discover the truth about the influences that gave birth to modern human mind.

Humans experience weird things!
Revisado: 01-16-25
Graham takes several related stories that don’t line up with a scientific, materialist world view, and makes a strong case that there are universal experiences that humans from all walks of life mutually seem to share, despite culture & language differences. Most interesting, and fun to ponder. I appreciated the dictation of the book as well.

Great story and well narrated
Revisado: 01-07-25
The author paints such a fantastic fantasy landscape with characters that I found myself rooting for. I was happy in their joy and miserable in their set backs. The plot surprises were a fantastic gift. As with the first two books in the series, the narrator was absolutely top notch.

Historia
Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people. As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin.

Historia
Israel is a tiny state, and yet it has captured the world's attention, aroused its imagination, and, lately, been the object of its opprobrium. Why does such a small country speak to so many global concerns? More pressingly: Why does Israel make the decisions it does? And what lies in its future? We cannot answer these questions until we understand Israel's people and the questions and conflicts, the hopes and desires, that have animated their conversations and actions.

Historia
Gideon Zadok arrives in Israel with every intention to research a new book, mend a broken marriage, and improve his dysfunctional family. But as political tensions escalate and his family is evacuated, Zadok asks to follow Israeli paratroopers to secure Mitla Pass and finds himself in the midst of one of the largest global crises of the twentieth century. A sweeping novel of love, passion, and freedom, Mitla Pass stands as an epic look at modern Middle Eastern history and is quite possibly Uris’s most autobiographical work.

After listing to “Exodus,” by Uris (and enjoying it immensely) I figured I’d give this title a try. I was not disappointed. The story of Israel is a story of grit, luck, and human hope that simply refuses to quit. Well done, Uris, on penning another fantastic book. Much respect to the two vocal actors who narrated this recording. Really well done.

Historia
From the acclaimed author who enthralled the world with Exodus, Battle Cry, QB VII, Topaz, and other beloved classics of twentieth-century fiction comes a sweeping and powerful epic adventure that captures the "terrible beauty" of Ireland during its long and bloody struggle for freedom. It is the electrifying story of an idealistic young Catholic rebel and the valiant and beautiful Protestant girl who defied her heritage to join his cause. It is a tale of love and danger, of triumph at an unthinkable cost.
